Next stop Hiroshima & Miya-jima ! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

We decided that we would not drive in Japan so we purchased a Japan Rail Pass (JR pass), which allowed to use the Japan rail system unlimited for our time in Japan. It is not very expensive if we plan to visit a few cities. We were able to reserve seats on the Shinkansen ahead of time. However, some unexpected events may happen or you might want to cut short your time in a city.. Well the JR pass also allows you to hop on some of the bullet train without reservations. It’s based on first come first served. The JR pass also worked on some bus and subway lines in the city. 🚈 🚌 πŸš…

It is possible to use the JR pass to take the train to the ferry that takes you to Miya-Jima. This sacred island was one of the highlight of our trip. It is populated by deers and the floating temple is very unique. Unfortunately, the floating shrine was under renovation so we weren’t able to see it. Make sure to be on the island for high tide as the temple looks like its floating. ⛴️ β›©οΈπŸ¦Œ

We made our way up to Mount Misen with the cable car. People in Japan are so nice that they offered us to watch our stroller at the cable car station. We had a little walk up towards the top of the mount Misen with Luka in the baby carrier. The view was well worth it! ⛰️ 🚠πŸ₯Ύ
