This is our second full day in Osaka, we decided to explore Osaka Castle before trying some Japanese sushi for the first time. We then explored the Umeda sky building at sunset which is definitely the best view in Osaka. Our first impression of Osaka surprised us, it’s everything we had dreamed of and more.

As we don't know where you still plan to go – in Osaka eat okonomiyaki; go to tsutenkaku and visit also shitennoji (temple).
Assuming you are going to Kyoto – Tenryu-ji (temple); Fushimi inari shrine; Kiyomizudera; Sannen-zaka and Ninnen-zaka; Gion Shimbashi; Arashiyama and Kinkaku-ji (temple); Path of Philosophy – eat at Chao Chao guioza; also go to Nara, see the deers and the big buddha (Todaiji).
In Tokyo, well…Senso-ji (day and night view) and Meiji jingu; Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observation Deck (free); Tokyo tower area; Shinjuku area; Imperial palace; Akihabara; Ginza; Shibuya scramble square; Nakameguro. If possible, daytrip to Kamakura; Nikko; Hakone; Yokohama.
Eat gyukatsu; ramen; japanese pancakes; japanese curry; yakitori.

It definitely doesn't look like a castle, more like a shrine. Beautiful architecture, extremely well preserved. I think Japan is the KING of vending machines- hehehe. It is very serine and peaceful, a great place to relax. It is in definite contract to the hustle and bustle of life in the city.
