From underwater video of coral and colorful fish, to pictures of the beach and clear water, to clips of the Japanese martial art dancers, to a Japanese Beatles band…good times. Here’s a sneak peak of Okuma resort in Okinawa, Japan!

  1. @dustylefou So you justify crimes by saying that locals do more of them? 3% isn't much right? Genius. I you want to be like that then Afghanis must be through and through criminals right? Perhaps I hope you realise how hypercritical it is to day "average service member doesn't get involved with the people off base" and then in the same breath say you married one? No, probably not. Anyway I find Americans, of all people crying about Xenophobia absolutely hilarious. Do continue.

  2. @zomgtehrei Again, I didn't. Way to make stuff up ala JapanTimes. Perhaps now that you were called out on your incorrect spelling and use of the word hypocritical, you can buy yourself a dictionary?

The atmoic bombings were justified after Japan's refusal to surrender after warning, and to avoid a more costly ground war on the mainland. Contrary to popular belief, military targets were embedded with the civilian population (no "bases"). Spend time over here instead of making stuff up, please.

  3. @dustylefou Thats a real high horse you're on there champ. And again, you did. You didn't even delete your comment. I'm not saying that the bombings weren't justified, I'm saying if you nuke a country. Twice. Don't act surprised when there is lingering resentment against you. Can you grasp this concept? And why on earth do you keep telling me to spend time in japan?

  4. @zomgtehrei There isn't "lingering resentment", the antibase crowd is in the minority, a very loud minority with an agenda. Just saying, you don't really qualify to argue about the atmospherics here when you've never seen it firsthand, especially compared to somebody who's been here on and off for 5 years.

  5. @zomgtehrei But not the place that this subject is about, which is Okinawa. The difference between mainland and Okinawa is like night and day.

  6. Zomgtehrei's Channel is full of Anime…

And he's bitching about a few Marines fucking up…

    On a video regarding Okinawa.

This leads me to believe that he's either a Japanese nerd troll, a 33 year old man living in his mother's basement, or some combination of the two. Either way, don't bother with him. Fortunately his kind are in the minority, and by the law of averages, we shouldn't see his degree of spineless fuckwit again for at least 13 years.

  7. I hope those marines pull out of okinawa as soon as possible. they cause more problems than they try to solve

  8. @DailyJustingonzales and not a SINGLE soldier was punished for the crimes, they were not tried in court martial. the US military bases cause LOTS of noise pollution and they hinder okinawa's regional economic development.

  9. I wanna be stationed in Okinawa SOOO bad…. I've got boot camp this monday… signed up to be infaltry, thing is, i wanna be a scout sniper, or atleast recon or some form of MARSOC, and as far as i know there aint no sniper school there (as fer recon or MARSOC, im not sure). But I'm still not completely informed, so idk my chances yet of being stationed there, or how much liberty i have once im there.

  10. Was stationed there as a Corpsman in 70-71 with the old 4th Bn 12th Marines at Canp Hansen. Strange how some things have changed tremendously and yet still how many things have not changed….Loved my time there.

  11. Stationed at Hansen 62-63. I hit every bar in Kin Village, Ishikawa,Koza,New Koza. Duffey,s Tavern may just be a memory now. Ishikawa-steam bath and massage $1.80 The girls would walk on your back with their little feet. Got to know the Okinawaian and Japanese people, intelligent and warm if you treat them with respect. Got back to the states, wanted to tell of their beautiful women and culture. The women back here didn't want to hear it. Thank GOD for memories.
