Tongyeong isnβt a place we had heard of before coming to South Korea, but when several of our friends and subscribers recommended it, we decided to plan a visitβ¦and it soon became one of our favorite places in Korea! Watch this vlog to find out why (spoiler alert: itβs really beautiful!)

Ha the comments came through. I was dying to know what was happening. These get more and more beautiful!!!π»
Old man was trying to teach about drinking etiquett in Korea. When you pour the beer to someone, you use two hands, not one hand n fill up 80% of cup. I guess using only one hand is considered to be rude.
As a Korean American with 12 years of living experience in Korea and 20 in the US, this reminds me of the route/trip we'd have whenever I'd visit Korea and meet my extended family. You are having the real Korean experience for sure.
The drunk man was asking how old your dad is.. age is important in Korea especially to the older generation. It sort of sets the hierarchy to begin with, and you either use two hands or one hand to give/receive drinks. I think the drunk man wanted to toast, but before toasting he had to figure out how polite he needed to be (two or one hand).
Koreans call sliced raw fish "Saengseon-hwe(μμ ν)" or "Hwe"(ν). It's some different from Sashimi.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful clip of Tongyeong! Also, the title is sliightly misleading because not only is this coastal city so beautiful, y'all are actually even more beautiful π Thank you for being always so lovely, positive and open-minded. You have created for me (and many viewers) a lifetime replay-able set of travel videos. Hope you're having a wonderful time traveling the world. Your Korea series have been awesome, but I can't wait to see more. See you soon in another video. Cheers!

That old man looks like he had a bit too much to drink hahahahah!
I am so happy that you all enjoyed so much TongYeong! Your cruise makes the viewers very emotional indeed! Hays is always so adoooorable! I love him with the captain cap!!!
You are so lucky to have such adventurous parents who do not hesitate to try all kind of new foods and new transportations ! They are wonderful!!!
The old man in the restaurant just wanted to welcome you and speak to you but he was a bit too drunk to do it properly π
He asked Tenβs age because the age determines the level of language he must choose. He wanted to teach you that in Korea the younger one receives the alcohol with two hands to show the respect to the older person who serves. He did not mean any harm but I hope he did not disturb you too much. I really like the fact that you really film as a documentary.
Bravo Steph!
