Mountain Resort Kamikochi visited by a band of Rhesus monkeys foraging the river in front of the iconic Kappabashi bridge full of tourists. This doesn’t happen often so it is a rare chance to observe them foraging for food under the rocks in the river and eating seeds of wild grasses while carrying their babies on their back. They are absolutely not impacted/interested by the many people watching them, they only care about what the members in their group do and only observe each other. Also showing a speedy tour of the sights of Kamikochi like Tashiro ike Pond that I managed to photograph with icicles on and the Taisho Lake with the surrounding mountain range.
