  1. Is this why PAL no longer services Abu Dhabi? Less competition or something

  2. I would love to fly etihad but their ticket prices are not very competitive and are very expensive. Eg to fly to africa from usa with eihad could be like over 2000usd but turkish is 1000usd. I mean it a no brainer

  3. As a Captain of a ME airline for 31 years I thought James Hogan was going to be a risk as he was not that wonderful at Gulf Air despite the airline’s turnaround. I said this to the Etihad PR people at the time of his appointment.
His ego is not good for business. His ideas of buying into loss making airlines was definitely a gamble, especially Alitalia. Hubris!!

Emirates started before Etihad or Qatar airlines, which you did not mention in your opening statements after only Gulf Air ( set up by the British) operated in the early days of Gulf aviation.
    Gulf Air started in 1950.
    Emirates started in 1985
    Qatar started in 1993
    Etihad started in 2003

  4. There is a firm belief that Jet Airways' owner siphoned off money illegally and sank it. All the facts of what happened is well hidden by the present Modi govt.

  5. nobody cares, really

nobody gives a single f*ck about the gulf states or their companies, we just want cheap plane tickets – qatar and emirates do that just fine – and if they're not an option, then singapore is just as good

  6. They are not doing this profit. Its very smart strategy to make world feel that Abu Dhabi is a place for doing business/Travel which will give a big boost to their economy.

  7. well , Etihad can still compete but i think they need to start over and start expanding their routes too , there are more flyers starting to arise from unknown religions to. but Etihad is still one of the best on 2022

  8. Etihad used to be amazing, now the customer service is like entering an alternate universe. They lost our bags for 6 days as well and refuse to take any responsibility. They stranded us in JFK and now in Abu Dhabi and refuse to rebook us because we missed our Etihad flights waiting for our luggage to arrive. They promised to call back and never did. They said they would cancel our flights and rebook when our bags arrived, but then didn’t do any of it and said they would treat us like a no show, so no replacement tickets to our destination. They have cost us thousands of dollars and refuse to even rebook our flights. It is an insane nightmare. Stay away from Etihad! They are a nightmare!

  9. I have just watched this, unfortunately i disagree with you on some issues. Investing in other airlines is nothing new, it is the control you have over that new airline's management to provide the right services and understand the politics. Etihad messed up here.

Etihad should have focussed, on investing on routes and airlines of countries with large travelling public like India, appoint the right management staff that understand the politics of their airline industry right from the start which will lead that airline to profitability…i doubt if Etihad did that at the start.

  10. They are back from their covid 19 stalemate and with Tony Douglas’ visions for a growing future with the latest and more sustainable aircraft especially with the unveiling of the airbus a350 1000 and the 787-9 with routes now connecting accross the US and north america but sadly because of increasing gas prices and more updated aircraft we may never again see the centerpiece- the airbus a380-800

  11. Awful cramped flights, more expensive than emirates, crappy terminals at abu dhabi built by near slave labour, bankrolls man city, all reasons to avoid this airline.

  12. Suckiest and shitiest airline bar customer service booked flight in January paid for the seats too but every werk the change you seat or cancel em when you call them they say we can’t help you i took a survey after my flight didn’t contact me yet same thing they did with my uncle mom and brother seats
