Phuket Island is known for its gorgeous beaches and lively nightlife, but it often gets forgotten for having some incredible street foods. The best place to experience a bit of everything is at the Phuket Sunday Walking Street Market. Here you can find some popular Thai foods and take yourself on your own Thailand street food tour of the market.
We had such a great evening trying some of the best street food at the market, and the best street food in Thailand. The food to eat in Phuket is very diverse, and at the Phuket Night Market we tried so many street foods like ice cream mochi, kanom jak, fresh mango smoothies, curry fish paste sausages, cream custard fish, and khao kriap wow, an ancient Thai snack. There was so much to try on this Thailand street food tour.
The highlight of our night trying some of these unique Thailand street foods in Phuket, was eating goong ten live dancing shrimp salad. Goong ten pretty much is exactly what it sounds like, live little shrimp are seasoned and served in a closed container, where they start jumping and dancing! It might sound strange, but eating goong ten live dancing shrimp salad was so delicious and such a special treat for us.
The food to eat in Thailand never ceases to amaze us with its uniqueness and diversity, the tastes and flavours are always so powerful. We hope you enjoy us taking you around the Phuket Night Market, while we try some tasty street foods and eat goong ten live dancing shrimp salad. Stay tuned for more Thailand street food in Phuket!

Hi chris and Steph you have shown me a lot of new things. That live salad is really special. How is it possible that you stay so slim with so much good food. Always nice to see a video of you. Greetings from the Netherlands 👋🍻💞
wow
HI Chris and Steph!! So happy to find another couple who loves food!! This foodie tour around Phuket looks amazing!
น้ำไม่ท่วมแล้วใช่มั้ยครับ
Kao Kreb Wao / Wao is kite in Thai word because this rice cracker flat and big like a kite.
The thin rice cracker was my childhood favorite. Kinda hard to find around my neighborhood nowadays.
The dancing shrimp salad is one of my most favorite salads! Haven't had them for years since I don't really can go home. I miss Thailand and Thai food soooo much.
Enjoy your journey in my beloved homeland! ❤️
Looks you both enjoy a Thailand trip..how many items food, snack & dessert you both have ate it ?

เยี่ยมเลยครับ
Thai food is just as diverse as malaysian food. Spicy too.
Seafood takoyaki
Yummy…😊✌
Hi Chris, The Kao Giup Wow is Kite Cracker, because it is large and thin like Kite paper, that's what the vendor was trying to tell you. Wow=Kite, not as Wow = amazing. Neat, right?
I'm Thai. I've never eaten dancing shrimp. You guys are amazing.
Wonderful
OMG. You should not try that dancing shrimp salad. They' re fresh water shrimps with lots of parasites if you eat it raw. I'm Thai but I never risk myself with that menu.
KANOM KROK ขนมครก Looks sooooooo good I wanna die!!!✌🏻👍🥳😂
10.33 khaogreabwow …wow mean kites in Thai because it look like a kite.
Kanon Jak got its name from the leaves that hold the sticky rice inside. The leaves were from a "Jak"tree which is belong to palm family found in mangroove area.
My two choices for the one bite seafood omelette would be baby octopus and prawn or oyster if they have any. Mochi ice cream is easy to found now a day in any places. Kanom Jak is lengthy sweet rice dessert wrapped I think they looks like pandan leaves?? Khao Kriap Wow is like huge tortilla topped with black sesame seed. Never heard of fried pizza and they sure don't looks like one except the topping is the stuffing. Not sure if I want to eat the dancing shrimp salad considering they're raw and still alive. The fish pancake is typical Japanese sweet treat. Look more like fish cake corn dog rather than sausage. Mango Yogurt is cool drink to end my night as well.
