Kodaiji Temple is located in Higashiyama, Kyoto, about 20 minutes by bus from Kyoto Station. This temple was built in the early 17th century to mourn the former ruler, Hideyoshi Toyotomi. It is one of the popular sightseeing spots in Higashiyama, with important cultural properties such as Kaisando, Kasatei, and Shiguretei, and the beautiful garden. More than 1,000 maple trees are planted on the grounds, and in autumn, the grounds are beautifully colored with autumn leaves. The best time to see autumn leaves is from mid-November to early December.

高台寺は京都東山に位置し、京都駅からバスで２０分ほどです。豊臣秀吉の正室である北政所が秀吉の菩提を弔うために建立された寺院です。開山堂、傘亭、時雨亭などの重要文化財や高台寺庭園が美しく東山でも人気の観光スポットの一つです。境内にはイロハモミジなど千本以上のカエデが植えられており、秋には紅葉が美しく境内を彩ります。例年の紅葉の見頃は１１月中旬から１２月上旬です。
