  1. with these bigger and bigger ships, not sure how many of the smaller islands infrastructure is going to handle all the visitors. wow.

  2. I have to say.. If you have kids under 18. This ship is for you. A water park at sea is not for me.

  3. We're been on 23 different cruise ships, first impressions of the icon of the seas looks like an eyesore, what's with all that crazy color scheme, hopefully the interior is a bit more subtle, looks like a barbie doll ship! We plan on going on it when it gets here, hopefully I'M wrong.

  4. Mornin' Doug!! Interesting trend in new ships (I think). Major lines building larger and larger ships where the ship is much of the "destination", and the luxury lines (out of my budget) bringing on all the new smaller ships. NCL's Prima class might be the exception, but it's still pretty big. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'd love to visit some of the smaller Caribbean ports on a more modern ship. (Maybe these days that's having "Champaign tastes on a beer budget.")

  5. Soon Royal Caribbean with their big ships are going to be turned away from ports. No destination is going to want 7600+ people docking at the ports. I have already heard ports of call complain about the big ships coming in.
RC should just make the ICON it’s on destination and at see for the duration of the cruise.

  6. Just got off Carnival Conquest yesterday and we docked next to Ecstasy and was able to snap a few photos of the ship before she left Miami.

  7. Good morning Doug back to coffee and updates with you. Ships are getting bigger and better. Have a great day.

  8. That new RCCL ship ALMOST looks like you can move into it for ever! I am sure Super Mario got his tickets already lol

  9. I always wonder why all the ships go to FL when Mobile is in desire need for a cruise ship. It's unfair for us in the gulf coast not just Mobile. I'm in Galveston and I would like other ships aside the same ones that come every time. It's boring and FL is being unfair if you ask me. I'm not complaining about the people in FL, I'm complaining about the lack of ships in other cities in the gulf coast. 🙁

  10. Happy Friday Doug thanks for the update. Icon Of The Seas is an awesome ship 🚢 and I can't wait to go on that boat with my family and friends. I love the slides and they are colorful. My favorite part when I go on the cruise, to go to parties and go to shows.

  11. I don't get why New York wouldn't look at something like Carnival Ecstasy for the temporary housing. A much better use than scrap, especially considering NY was looking to rent a ship
