ZZ’s clam bar, as the name suggests, is a bar that has a Michelin one star status by the time of my visit and retained that status until late 2022. Because of the pandemic, the bar menu scaled down drastically and now only contained oysters, clams, a few appetizer-sized snacks on toasts, and cocktails.
On Oct 6th, 2022, the Michelin guide published its latest revision on the NYC guide and ZZ lost its stars in the latest guide. It was no surprise to me that ZZ, judging by the limited selection, didn’t receive a star. I’m surprised how can a bar get a star anyways.

Very justified for the Michelin guide taking ZZ and Carbone’s one star
..cool place..great cocktail program..sadly..they just lost their Michelin star..Carbone as well.
