We leave Limoge and head to the massacred village of Oradour-sur-Glane. Two years we have tried to visit this village and after reading Robert Pike’s book Silent Village we had to go this year.

Special thanks to Robert Pike for your support.

  1. The weather at 15 degrees was reminiscent of the uk, thankfully it wasn't raining 😊.
A very long 24 months to wait, but you all finally made it 🙌. Another corker.
See you on your next adventure 🤙🤟

  2. I visited the village a few years ago and before we went into the reception area to pay outside was a really warm sunny day. When we were inside the village it was still sunny but really chilly 🙄 it's really sad to see however I'm glad they have kept it for people to experience and wish all would leaders would visit and understand what happens when one leader is mad 🙄🙄🙄

  3. Got to admit if I've ever seen a group that needs the last man technique as used by IAM it's you lot. We were dead against it when we travelled by minor roads to Sachenring a few years ago but thought we'd give it a go, best thing we ever did. No lost riders, riding at our own pace and still knowing the group had our back.. Glad you've got to aradour sur glane 👍🏻

  4. This was one of the SS worse massacres of the Second World War. 2Nd SS Panzer division “Das Reich” to murder a whole towns population on rumors that 1 SS Officer was being held by French resistance fighters in a different village cannot be justified under any circumstance 🙁

  5. Another fantastic video guys watching it makes you feel as though you are there you feel the pain of everything through your videos so thank you all again and stay safe on all of your travels

  6. Went there a few years ago, harrowing place, remember seeing a huge blob of melted metal as you go into the church, turned out to be the bell which had melted from the heat when they burned it after shooting all the women and kids in there, we were told that one girl escaped from a window at the back and was the only survivor, glad I went, we sat on the wall outside the church for a while in total silence, as you know its an eerie feeling in that village. Looking forward to next episode, I'm sure Gordon will let me know when its ready.

  7. Great vid, been there a few times over the years, can't wait to see what you make of it, always makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when we go, Hotel in the new village is a nice place to stay, very nice people.

  8. Powerful stuff, and a real taster for the next episode 😉
Cracking shot of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” 3:40 mins in 🤔🤣
    Ride Safe Mr B 😎🤘

  9. We went to the old village a few years back on our tour of France.
I defy anyone to not have tears in your eyes or a lump in your throat when you see and read about the people that were butchered. I don't know if it's just your imagination playing tricks, but it's almost like you can still smell the smoke from the charred buildings.
I think it's only right that they left it exactly as it was left by the nazis, to serve as a reminder to the world of what one human being is capable of doing to another.
Look forward to the next episode.

PS: Can I suggest you use the drop off system on your next trip so you don't lose Bear 😜
