American Airlines and American Eagle operate out of 10 hubs, with Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) being its largest.
About The Boeing 787 (from Wikipedia):
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is an American wide-body jet airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. After dropping its Sonic Cruiser project, Boeing announced the conventional 7E7 on January 29, 2003, focused on efficiency. The program was launched on April 26, 2004, with an order for 50 from All Nippon Airways (ANA), targeting a 2008 introduction. On July 8, 2007, the prototype was rolled out without major systems and experienced multiple delays until its maiden flight on December 15, 2009. Type certification was received in August 2011 and the first 787-8 was delivered in September 2011 before entering commercial service on October 26, 2011, with ANA.

Seeing that new terminal at LGA makes me even more excited for Terminal 1 to open at EWR. It’s long overdue.
Windows are dimmed or shades pulled on every flight out of Phoenix to keep the strong sun out of the plane. I travel between ORD and PHX 12-15 times a year and frequent flyers understand this routine.
Ok, we get it, you hate AA!! You NEVER have ANYTHING good to say so why the hell do you continue to fly them? We all know you have a hard on for your Middle East carriers. Please stop with the constant AA hate. Or find a new cause.
I have never had a bad experience with AA, but also never had a great experience either when flying them.
lovely flight i enjoyed flying with you
Sadly, I rarely have need anymore to travel out of the US. But because of what you’ve just described, I don’t even fly around this country anymore. I’ve just given up on travel. Travel has come to feel akin to being tortured for having a desire to leave one’s home. I wouldn’t even travel now if given a ticket.
Looks like I missed the entry date! Darn it! Thanks for the great videos!
I never win
I swear, most of AA FA’s I have encountered don’t know how to smile. It’s mostly the older FA’s who are quite moody.
You have become a whinger like Josh Cahill. Have unsubscribed you.
I fly AA weekly out of DFW to ORD and always fly First/Business Class. I’ve become numb to the annoyance one is dealt with from some AA staff. Since the pandemic, gone are the Dreamliners, so the sole pleasure I would get from sitting alone by the window (I usually book at least 3 months out and get choice of just about any seat I want). The planes and bathrooms are mostly fair to good though. The staff though is generally subpar. It’s like they’re doing you a favor being there. I’ll occasionally get a superstar flight attendant though. I’m very low maintenance on flights. I don’t ever drink (unless I’m flying internationally) and keep to myself with my music or iPad. So, I fly AA for convenience, not necessarily by choice.
AA has been brutally consistent for last couple decades lagging behind almost all full service airlines. AA's food service on int'l flights are one of the worst period. It has one advantage in that your stomach is never full which can be good on int'l flights. There are some nice flight attendants and some cranky flight attendants which means AA just let them act on their own instead of properly training them. Among major US airlines, I would rank Delta > United > AA.
It's so crazy you're at 600 going to 1 million!
3:42 the korean air 747 in the back
Dan, your characterizations of the FAs as “karens” without explaining how they warranted this toxic label is totally unprofessional. They looked at you funny? That’s your basis? You described not one issue with the service during your flight. Shouldn’t “karen” status be earned through one’s actions? As a professional travel reviewer, when you label someone you’re reviewing with one of the most unfavorable labels on social media, you had better have a good reason. I saw none on this video. You’ve got over 600k subscribers. You’re better than this.
AA as a whole is just a bad smelly dirty experience every time I fly with them. Usually united is much better
I thought American was bad but I just got off a KLM flight from LA to Amsterdam, and it now tops worst flight ever.
I have watched many videos of yours but today this one was a different one it was disappointement even the luu eeh
hey Dan where was that place/hotel…of you on the balcony drinking your Athletic Greens shake? It looks Fantastic!!
I just flew American for the first time in August and was lucky to get a round trip first class for under 400. When I flew out of DFW, they changed gates twice and we were delayed due to the flight crew being delayed from previous destination because of weather. The flight service was good and I was thrilled the attendant essentially made two Bloody Mary’s for me. I’ll try them again, especially if I get the same deal.
Thanks for the amazing and complete video.
Wow loved the Karen references lol I can so imagine what ya mean have been taken care of by many Karen’s on domestic U.S. flights in my day lol
I think it is the terrible attitude of the cabin crew that really frustrated me with AA. They are surly, lazy and seem to rev up their pax as if they want trouble. AA really need to take some customer service lessons from the middle east and far east carriers. I last flew AA 3 months ago when I actually thought I had paid for a journey with BA….what a nightmare.
Yes they went down the tube lately…such 🥺🥺🥺a pity…and they have mainly senior staff crew…the juniors got downsized..so you have a crew that's been dealing with passengers for 30 years 🤯🤯🤯 they are tired
I have a friend that works at sky shift they being the people that work there don't care about their job and American airlines is at Mercy with the food selections and the quality of food if these airlines would get someone else besideshaft the meal qualities amongst all airlines would improve a thousand percent sky shaft is nothing but a bunch of ordinary people making foods and half of them worked at McDonald's and fast food place which don't take pride in their work nothing against the people who work there but there is not one chef that works there and the quality and the buildings or so dirty and something to be desired all of this guy chef buildings are like that dirty and half of the people still the food from the airlines when taking the food off
I also have a friend that started with American airlines as a flight attendant she is dealing with all of these parents American airlines is trying to force these people to retire they won't and they're all miserable and they all hate their jobs American airlines throughout the whole us it's doing hiring events to try to find nice friendly flight attendants so I can appreciate what you're saying about all the kids my friend is having a hard time trying to create positive vibes and appreciate people to fly on American airlines keep up the great videos I subscribe
I find AAs business class product far better than BAs. BA has gone up in price but their front/back seats are horrible!
Geez Dan, what did you expect? If you want a reasonable good First Class product fly Delta, otherwise don't cry. Avoid Southwest and Spirit at all costs if possible.
American does that often; control shades .
Totally agree with you Dan. I have flown on AA many times. I have not had great experiences. Keep traveling safe🥰
What were your expecting? It’s crappy American Airlines…
Most people I know wish they could have disappointing experiences in business and first class. lol
Thank you for pointing out the individual air vents. I can't understand how the manufacturers allow certain other (foreign) airlines to opt out of having them, it can make all the difference between relative comfort vs. sheer misery. Also, I understand that you need to order special meals, but for once I wish I could know how the beef turned out!
Congratulations on 600,000 Dan! You have come so far very quickly! I watched a 5 year old video a month or so ago and I did laugh. Thanks for the great content! 🎉😊
Giving someone a hard time about filming aircraft through plate glass windows and citing "safety" is wild. I don't even know what to say to that.
Try Saudia plane i love that plane because it's very comfortable
AmeriUniteDelta. It's all the same thing. Funny when one person has a favorite amongst these mediocre airlines.
That was the same menu on my flight
Most of those bottles were nearly empty!
AG1 must be making a big promotional push this month because the number of YouTubers who all of sudden drink this trash is amazing lol 😂
I’ve flown with AA in their old Airbus A330 in business from Philadelphia to London Heathrow and I would have to say the experience was actually great. The seat was probably the first generation reverse herringbone seat and doesn’t offer as much storage, but still, not as awful as some kinda very exposed seat that makes you feel like you’ve got no privacy at all. The main course I’ve chosen was a fish dish and it was genuinely amazing, but not so much for the breakfast. The flight attendants were actually lovely, attentive and polite, though that might just have been my luck 😂 After watching Dan’s video, I feel like I’m gonna fly with them again for a quick hop across the pond from the East Coast. No FOMO at all and will be able to just eat quickly and spend the maximum amount of hours on my beauty sleep 😴
These seats look excellent actually, but I'm really not a fan of there being no privacy screen between the central seats. I totally understand if it you're travelling as a couple, but it's so far from ideal if you're a solo traveller with one of these carriers with this setup…
I never received my package from your website with the unicorn looking business class amenity bag. 😢
Bro writes all this stuff off and calls it self funded. What a nonce, I can’t tell by his overall channel like to view ratio im not the only one who can’t stand the unjustified arrogance of this Dan guy. No one likes him.
I think it's worth mentioning that some of the best most luxurious airlines in the sky today also have the extra added benefit of being state owned and funded. This would include Qatar, Singapore, Emirates and Etihad. This means a country can decide to forgo profit in favor of that airline serving as the ambassador of their nation. So it's not always an even playing field up there and we're often getting a warped perspective. I've flown the AA business class product many times and while I'd prefer Singapore, Qatar and the rest, I can't deny that in terms of getting me where I want to go in comfort with the safety and reliability of a US based carrier, AA does just fine.
Really hope you’ll be able to do a review in the future on the Lufthansa a350’s “new business class” seats and compare them to the current below standard ones
