White horse, Kilburn, Thirsk. Thomas Taylor a Victorian businessman’s idea.
This 150 year old white horse in thehill side can be seen for miles, i wanted to take a little look at it as i was passing. The Thirsk Horse was an idea from one man over 150 years ago back in the Victorian age and is still there to date.

Lovely images have passed one of them many years ago looked good closer up
Public art is always worth seeing. I've seen a few white horses. Never seen the Cerne Giant. Best one I've seen is a giant smiley made out of daffodils on a hillside somewhere in Fife many years ago. I wonder if it still comes up ?
Great vlog mate,, loved the image from the drone. That thing is massive.
Amazing video thanks for sharing 👍
A nice walk that Paul and the drone footage and images of the 'oss' were excellent. 📷👍👍
Loved the vlog Paul, the sheer drop at the top made my toes curl as you were looking over and I'm not scared of heights 🤣 enjoyed the drone footage and the IR images.
I love this place
Great video Paul, really enjoyed watching this. That goat path up to the top is a killer 😩 I'm just intrigued to know how you managed to fly the drone there. I am local (live in Thirsk) and I can't fly my drone there due to restrictions from the Gliding Club above the horse. Id'd love to do a similar flight so any advice would be very much appreciated?? Thanks Rachel
