  1. Really happy to hear Gordon will be joining you on this cruise. Already getting my packing 🧳 done. Getting excited now 🛳️🛳️🚢🚢❤️

  2. Hi Alison,
Thank you so much for your updates !
My question is…. I am traveling Solo on Diamond princessI ( Nov 27th ) and noticed the there has been a $300 price drop. Is it possible to get a refund or cruise credit ??
    Thanks Georgette

  3. I think on Princess, it would be an excellent use of the app to be able to reserve a lounge chair, maybe charge $2 for 30 minutes, to reserve the chair. Also allow for “open” chairs that are first come first serve.

  4. Hi Allison great video as always. I am always torn whether or not to buy the drink package. When you add up the price of an occasional soda, water, non alcohol drink, an occasional beer, glass of wine at dinner, a cup of coffee in the Piazza and a occasional fufu drink (piña colada, strawberry daiquiri, Margarita) the bar bill will add up quickly. So my wife and I usually end up getting the drink package which over 7 days saves us money in the long run.

  5. The chair hogs that bother me the most are the ones that save several loungers and then go back to bed. I don't really notice the single lounger that gets saved but I always notice the whole row that have something on them, except for people. As to the low low rates that are currently being advertised for Carnival, that is worrisome to me. I love a low rate as much as the next person but they have to make a profit to pay the loans back that all the cruise lines took out during covid. I think it is primarily their older ships that they're having trouble filling. But if it's bad for Carnival, it's bad for Carnival corporation and that impacts many Cruise lines including Princess and Holland America

  6. Well I wonder if now passengers are going to get in fights with the crew members or removing their belongings off of the chairs. After all Carnival doesn't want any fighting but yet now they're implementing this idea which is a great idea don't get me wrong I agree with it but I don't see how this is going to cause a nice calm cruise ship experience for all passengers

  7. I would say that we spend around $1,500 on the ship depending on the ship what they offer and what itinerary it is and if we've been there or not or if they have shorts versions that we are interested in and the price of them.

  8. Hi from island princess. This is the first cruise we take after the Covid, the first thing we notice is that the staff are extremely friendly.
Due to a storm, we skipped our first port, Stavanger. Capitan mentioned he would try to find another port to make up. But so far, we are not adding any port. We have paid a local ferry at Stavanger, if the captain had announced the change a few hours earlier, we could have cancelled our booking and get the money back.
We have seen northern lights every night. Yes, we can see them with naked eyes, but most of the time, you need to see them through camera.
If you are looking for the normal standard of princess ships, you may be disappointed. I see damaged sink in the public restroom, old furniture, narrow hallway. Rooms are small and deco are not to other ships’ standard. But, we are having a fantastic time, we saw northern lights! Today, we will dock at Lofoten, another great port to look forward to.

  9. Suggestion for a group photo. How were you planning to take a group photo? My suggestion is to board the ship ASAP & find someone from the photo department & see if they will send a photographer. I’ve done this before & suggest to have them come at 12:30 pm. Suggestion to ask people to wear something with a color so that you will spot people. I suggest blue. Any thoughts of bringing blank name tags? Confirm the Wake View Bar, 1st sea day at 12 noon.

  10. Hi hope you feel better soon can’t wait for the love boat cruise next Saturday and for the meet&greet

  11. I love that idea of dealing with chair hogs. I hope they can do something about the hot tub hogs too.

I've been buying up carnival stock as low as I can right now. Missed it when it tanked during covid. Not missing it this time! 😂 So far as the other cruise line parent companies, they're doing far better than carnival RCL is something about $40/share…doing so much better than CCL.

So far as what I pay on the boat. I pay for the princess plus package during my booking. My next cruise, I am buying a weeklong pass to the lotus spa for me and the wife, and a vow renewal package, but otherwise, I'm a bum of bums. Won't buy anything else on board.

  12. Ooooo Allison, Since I cant attend the Loveboat cruise, would really appreciate detailed footage starting with when you first enter to board.
I'm living vicariously through you. Am looking forward to being able to enjoy your trip from this side of the screen. Enjoy!

  13. Be careful when they take you to one of those white buildings that sell diamonds…not diamonds international…..the stones are fake and the tequila is flavored rubbing alcohol like most of the places in mexico….

  14. One thing that was good about cruising during covid restrictions was everyone onboard were respectful. Now all the rude passengers are back.

  15. I'm sure we spent over $5,000 on our last Princess cruise in August '22, Sometimes we spend more, and sometimes less.

  16. I agree with controlling chair hogs… I was on a 10 day Italy Greek Isle, on NCL, and on a sea day, I went to the adult only area (spice H2O) about 9AM. There were about 25+ chairs with towels and towel clips on, and although I got a chair off in the corner , I watched as NOBODY came to any of the chairs for an hour, and then at an hour only 2 couples came, before I left. So Sad really, they were out having breakfast, holding the Chairs.

  17. Hi Alison, when you say the meet up is on the first day, you mean the 1st sea day right? not embarkation day? Not sure we will be on the ship by 1200. Thanks.

  18. Saw this on CC from someone that was recently on the Discovery in Cabo & they said…”Tendering off the ship was horrible for those getting off that weren’t either elite or on excursions. People were lined up in the halls. I think it took about 2.5 to 3 hours before there wasn’t a line. Tendering on larger ship capacity cruises is not for those that are impatient. If you plan private excursions, you need to take this into consideration as there is no rushing it.

I think there are a lot of new cruisers on this ship as the Mexican Riviera trip tends to be one of the cheaper ones to go on so almost everyone wanted off the ship.

The weather was hot today with a breeze. It was nice in the shade but quickly got hot in the sun.

I really want to stress how hard the crew works to please. They are nothing but kind and hard working. Remember a smile and a “thank you” goes a long way for them too.”

Hopefully we don’t have any problems in Cabo.

  19. I don’t typically spend much on board other than the gratuities……maybe one shore excursion, at least one photo, and maybe one item from the $10 flash sale. I bought a birthday package (one day in the Enclave spa along with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries) on my last cruise but I didn’t see it available on the love boat cruise. I might buy the Wi-Fi package so I can keep up with you guys, since it’s no longer included with my circle status. 😕
