Eastbourne UK Walking Tour – Eastbourne Seafront & Town Centre

Join us for a walk in Eastbourne, East Sussex, UK. Our walk starts on Eastbourne Seafront near the Wish Tower and finishes in Eastbourne Town Centre by Eastbourne Train Station. Along the way we pass Eastbourne Pier, Eastbourne Bandstand and Eastbourne’s popular shopping centre The Beacon Eastbourne.

Eastbourne is a town and seaside resort in East Sussex, on the south coast of England, 19 miles east of Brighton and 54 miles south of London.

Eastbourne Wish Tower is one of 74 Martello Towers built along the south coast to defend against Napoleon in the early 1800’s, the Wish Tower built on grassed slopes is number 73.

Eastbourne Pier is a seaside pleasure pier in Eastbourne, East Sussex, on the south coast of England. Eastbourne’s Grade II listed, Victorian pier was opened in June 1870, although it was not fully completed until two years later in 1872. Eastbourne Pier has a variety of shops, a chippy, Waterfront cafe/bar, Atlantis nightclub, Victorian Tea Rooms, Coffee Republic, fishing and fantastic views of the English Channel.

Eastbourne Bandstand was built in 1935 and is one of the most distinctive sights in Eastbourne. It has featured in numerous television programmes and plays host to a variety of concerts and live music.

Eastbourne town centre has all the usual chain shops and department stores, with plenty of independent shops and cafes, as well as The Beacon Eastbourne Shopping Centre. Making Eastbourne a great place to come for a day out shopping.
