Last year for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary Trip, Elizabeth and I decided to head out west for a Jeeping Overlanding Vacation. Since COVID had put so many stipulations on traveling internationally and through the air, we decided a road trip with our rooftop tent would be our best option. On Part 8, the last of this series, it started off with us attempting to visit Pikes Peak, but the weather didn’t cooperate with us. So instead, we visited Santa’s Workshop at the bottom of Pikes Peak, and then headed over to Garden of the Gods. Boy, if you haven’t been there before, put it on your bucket list. I could spend all day in that park. The next day we spent the day adventuring with some friends originally from Silver Lake that now reside in the CO Springs area and adventured around 7 Falls. Finally on our last day, we were blessed to be able to drive to the top of Pikes Peak. I could literally spend my entire life visiting mountain peak summits just to take it the beauty there. There’s something about the journey of getting to the very top that makes it that much more rewarding. It’s sad that our adventure had to come to an end, but we created a lifetime full of memories on this trip. We had so much fun in Colorado that we are working on trying to make it our home state now.
