There is the expensive version in the hotel for the chilli and ginger and… sauces, there is the kampong chicken version, there is the laos cartilege in laos, there is the male cock skin bite texture in vietnam, … singapore is only a few versions at most.

Is the OG Chatterbox in Sg the one at the Mandarin Hotel on Orchard Rd? If so, I dined there when I stayed there in the early 90s. I recall it was so expensive my mum only ordered the French onion soup for her lunch 😂 I have no idea what I ordered but it wasn't chicken rice.
盛り方がめっちゃ日本っぽいですね。シンガポールだとご飯の盛り方は基本的に雑だったのでチキンライスは残飯みたいに見た目って印象が強かったけど、盛り方次第でここまで変わるとはなかなか面白いです
Ghib-san, I didn’t know there is a chatterbox in Fukuoka. I’m a Singaporean living in Miyazaki and it is extremely difficult to find any food related to Singapore. 本当にありがとうございます。
It's also Malaysian. There are many Japanese foodie and even migrants from Japan to Malaysia essentially for the food with lots of videos of the local food. I'm M'sian American . Enjoy !
I think Fukuoka is a pretty nice place. Not the busy and bustling Tokyo or Osaka. I enjoyed my trip back then in 1997. It's been ages since my last trip.
How to book the sleeper ferry? I looked at their website, they have so much description but it didn't have the option to book!
Fukuoka seems to have a friendlier and nicer vibe than Tokyo and Sapporo. Will love to visit there when there's an opportunity.

To all the Singaporeans who are commenting that Chatterbox is not as famous or too expensive or taste just like normal c-rice: Chatterbox had its heyday in the 1980s-1990s. All the other brands did not exist yet. It is not that Chatterbox c-rice is bad…its just that the rest of the industry caught up…..Its like the "famous-long queue" chicken chop in Shilin market in Taiwan… they were the OG…but the rest of the world has caught up and their taste is no longer special. For the older folk, hawker c-rice today is so much better than hawker c-rice in the 1980s…… Chatterbox was legit the best back then….
