This overnight ferry from Busan to Jeju Island is exactly the kind of slow travel we’ve been hoping for.
For those looking to book this same ferry, we purchased our tickets directly at the Busan ferry terminal a few hours before our departure. You can also refer to the MS ferry phone line here: https://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/TRP/TP_ENG_3_2.jsp

OMG. You can ask just microwave instead of self-hair dryer!! The service is included!!!
Greetings from Jeonju City. I'm so happy to see you guys enjoying Korea so much. As I just came back from Jeju trip last week, I can't wait to see your next episodes in Jeju.
It's all about the journey and slow travel is good travel!
Could u include how much u paid for the store and food next time ? Awesome vid โค
Who knew just how multifunctional a hairdryer could be?! Great video as always, and slowing it down by taking an overnight ferry was a great idea. Its a travel experience in itself. After a while, planes and airports just blend and blur into each other as a means of getting from A to B (with a whole lot of stress and hanging around to boot). Taking the ferry, is well, like proper travelling, embarking upon a journey, creating a real sense of time and space. Its definitely about the journey and the sense of adventure!
That's a great idea next time from Busan cruise to Jeju for experience. I'll have to consider that next time since we were planning Seoul to Busan to jeju and back to Seoul.
Ferries between UK and Ireland and between Denmakr and Oslo are also great.
Wow this is amazing! Definitely something on our list. ๐ You guys make great videos! Well done. Learning a lot
There's a microwave in the convenience store. ~.~;
Most convenience stores in Korea have a microwave available for customers.
SHIN ramyun is the king of all instant noodles.
We never would have thought to use a hair dryer to heat up food! ๐ ๐ ๐ We love to travel by boat (and train and plane – never mind, we just like to travel). ๐

Hahaha… that hair dryer hack is impressive. But that remind me next time to use on anything else except the hair. ๐คฃ
Watching this video, I can't believe that in Ontario we do not wear masks. So relaxing, that I even forgot that there is flu or covid. So my next travel plan is Toronto and Lake Superior. That will make me feel more relaxed than any international travel. I will postpone my dream travel to Korea to better times if they come:):(.
A ferry to Jeju Island Busan is such a long way taking more hours than
a ferry from Yesu or Mokpo. Yesu held Expo and a beautiful city during a night.
You guys are on this Channel โ ํธ๊ธฐ์ฌ Koreaโ https://youtu.be/synpI0sONR8 theyโre are showing you guys current viral video on their channel. Interning ! You may want to check out.
Are u korean. The girl
Worried a bit the joy is gone I feel โฆ.
One hour flight or twelve hours on a ferry to the same destination? Iโll take the one hour flight and utilize that eleven hours at jeju. Like Josh said it was good for you guys to slow down and enjoy. Love the videos.

You guys! I didn't even know this was an option but we're thinking of coming back to Korea to go to Jeju and this looks like such a great way to do it, especially with Hays. Thanks for putting this on our radar!
Unsettling as this sounds, those hammers (also found on buses) are for breaking out the windows in case of emergency exit. I'm assuming the ferry hammers serve the same purpose and the bus hammers.
name of the busan jeju cruiseline?
Love this and hoping to do it this fall…how did you book it? And what's the company?
Hi! What is the name of the ferry you took? Would like to get the same cabin as yours. Thanks
We travelled from Italy to Greece and through the Greek islands on overnight ferries. We loved it. We got a nightโs accom and travel while we slept. Plus it felt like we were more immersed in the culture and places of each country; rather than just another airport. Great video as always guys.
Thanks guys! where did you bought the ticket for the ferry?
I've always exploited overnight ferries and trains especially if they offer private sleeping births/cabins. You get accommodation and travel for the price and onboard meals are usually good. I love train travel with a dinning car. You get more room than on a plane, you can explore and get some exercise, sleep on a bed versus a chair and eat at a table than on your lap. It's not all about the destination.
Oh and the memories. A lot has changed in 10 years. Many, many more tall buildings and crowds. Love this series.
My family and I are planning for a Korea adventure next year and I really hope I can convince them taking the ferry instead of flying to busan
how did you guys book the ferry tickets? the website is all in korean and google translate doesn't seem to be working
Hi Lisa and Josh, is there also an overnight ferry from Jeju to Busan? Will you be able to share the link for the ferry? Thank you so much!
๐๐๐ ๐………………..
The way to use twin beds is to make love on the first bed and sleep on the second bed.
Question for you – where did you book your tickets? We were trying to follow in your footsteps and get the cabin, but the ferry website is in Korean : ) Did you buy tickets via third party (i.e., direct ferries) website or did you purchase in-person in Busan?
Thanks so much for sharing. It's on my bucket list. Visited Busan in 2015 for several days and loved it. Had the live octopus dish, which was surprisingly delicious, probably because it was with friends at around 1am. ๐ Have a wonderful time.
Hi guys!!!!! I'm trying to book this route and just can't… did you have to read the Korean site to book it? Please share, thank you!
I would recommend visitors to use the flight service to Jeju rather than the ferry. Wanted to add some personal experience using the ferry after this video from Lisa and josh. Although I appreciate the highlights of the ferry, the lowlights should also be emphasized for people planning for this trip to know before actually committing to the 11 to 12 hours ferry. BTS you will be told to leave your room by 5.30am while still out in the sea (shaking violently). Despite, the comfort of the bed in the special room, the boat is unlike a cruise ship and it can feel like you are sleeping on a Viking ride in the opposite direction most of the night. The common facilities is limited to the convenience stall and you are not allow to dine in your room (there is a fine). After checking out of your room at 5.30am, you have to wait for the the ferry to reach its destination and for locals to disembark first. Lastly, with the arrival timing of the ferry at 6am, it will be hard for passengers to catch a bus to the airport which is 30mins away for your rented car (if you are renting). First available bus is at 810am๐ . If I will have a second chance to Jeju, definitely a flight. This is my personal experience and is in no way to shade what Lisa or josh had experience, just wanted to let others who are planning to be aware of the downside
