This is a Singapore Bike Shop Tour of MOBOT’s new showroom. MOBOT is a very popular folding bike company in Singapore, most commonly known for their Mobot Royale folding bikes (which we also ride back home).

After cycling on the Mobot Royale folding bikes in many countries over the last year, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to visit one of the main showrooms for Mobot in Singapore during our trip here.

Mobot is also helping us during our trip, giving us some demo bikes to use during our time here so we can cycle around Singapore.

  1. I like the colors of the bikes. Very bright and breath taking. Can't wait to see more videos from Singapore. Great video.

  2. Oh this is so awesome. I subscribed just now, these bikes are so cool. Iโ€™ve never had a folding bike before but I live on the fourth floor in my apartment building and carrying my bike up and down is stressful. I have a BMX bike and I love it but I wish I could fold it up. We donโ€™t have an elevator in my building either and even if we did Iโ€™m not an elevator person lol

  3. I like the colors of both bikes, they match the colors of the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL and the Golden State Warriors of the NBA. I currently live in San Francisco Bay Area and I own two foldies, but they donโ€™t fold the same way as those bikes

  4. A lovely video – Really interesting. Amazing store with a plethora of choices. Best wishes & Happy pedalling ๐Ÿ™

  5. Would love to see you guys do more food vlogs of going to places on your bikes and trying a variety of Asian cuisines ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Singapore has many brands of trifold bike beside Brompton – Pikes, 3Sixty, Aceoffix, Garcia, Royale, Ethereal, etc. Trifold is popular because it makes bringing onto public transport (train) so easily. You could take a train ride back home if you hit into thunderstorm when you are at the other side of the island.

  7. Was hoping mobot had a rental programme for the bikes, but seems like its a special arrangement for you both. Would be great if you could share bike renting options for proper road bikes and/or folding bikes. Ive moved away from Singapore but occasionally return for short trips. Too inconvenient to travel with my roadie so hoping I could easily rent one during my next trip.

  8. CAMP is made by "ELEMENT" Indonesia. I suppose ROYALE as well. Branded locally as PIKES

  9. Do these bikes come close to Bromptons hand built by craftsmen quality? Personally I find the gold to be tacky, Iโ€™m sure itโ€™ll be okay in Singapore, Vietnam etc but would soon become tarnished if used daily in England, the home of Brompton .

  10. Hello two wheels im just asking if this mobot royale bike is available here in US? And where country this manufactures? T.y.

  12. I have to say I canโ€™t accept the 100% Brompton copy. Itโ€™s exactly the same, and I find that just wrong. If it was similar but different enough, I would be ok with it. Or if we had a different economic system and we nationalised Brompton and started manufacturing them everywhere for low cost, then ok. But itโ€™s exactly the same. I think itโ€™s so offensive to me because Brompton is something that I see as one of the only things that make me feel proud to be British, and for that export to be copied, itโ€™s a real kick in the teeth.

I know most hybrid, road, mountain, cargo bikes look similar, but not this similar. Like if someone copied the Specialized Roubaix suspension stem or Cannondaleโ€™s Lefty fork so blatantly, they wouldnโ€™t get away with it. But here they do. I donโ€™t get it. From a moral standpoint, itโ€™s just wrong. If I did that, I would feel bad.

I do like the built in computer though. Thatโ€™s a nice upgrade that Brompton should have done themselves. When I tried to mount a small Garmin computer on mine, I found it really difficult to mount it in a way that wasnโ€™t at a weird angle. Unless you have the flat bar itโ€™s very difficult. I ended up giving up on it and just ride that bike with no data now. And that add-on bar seems to be an Asian only thing as well. I havenโ€™t seen anyone use them in Europe, even though itโ€™s a good idea.
