This actually looks fun! I went to a similar event in the UK and hated it…..its all so posh and snobby in the UK so its nice to see the Japanese taking a chilled and fun sttitude to such events.

The way I understand a trifecta here in Australia, is that the first number has to win, and the other two numbers have to come second and third, not necessarily in the order on the ticket. Looks like a fun day.

It's interesting to hear the different bets types that other countries have and the different ways of saying common bet types (we say tricast instead of trifecto). I work in a bookies and I have a strange newfound enthusiasm for horse and dog racing…… Darts still hold no interest 🙂

I tried my luck here last time I was there, and the atmosphere was electrifying with the crowds cheering 'Sasse Sasse…!!!'. Don't know what that meant, but it was crazy out there. As I was there to watch the No. 1 horse in Japan race, the prices of food and betting were a bit steep. Somehow got to know the rules of betting and I won 5000 yen for the 900 yen I invested and also a bag of Sea weed as gift which I gave away to a lady !! Yea baby, I got my predictions ryt and it was my first time!
Apart from that, I really saw a different side of japan that night, with drunk japanese men being so lively and outgoing. I guess a few glasses of beer does get them going. I wonder why u guys didn't try the Fish n chips there, they were spectacular.
