Take a walk with me through the most dangerous places in Cebu City. I explored what is considered one of the two most dangerous barangays: Pasil and Ermita. To be honest, I don’t have any idea why critics would label these places as dangerous. I’ve been to many neighborhoods in the Philippines and Pasil and Ermita was very similar in the fact that the people were very nice. I did not at all feel threatened. Are these two places in Cebu City really dangerous? You be the judge =) Pasil and Ermita might have been a little different years ago, but from my experience, the community was among one of my favorite places to visit thus far. For me, it’s not about the location, it’s always about the people, and Pasil and especially Ermita ranks high on my top places to visit. Enjoy!

  2. I enjoy watching the videos but some context would be helpful, especially with regard to day of the week, holiday, work day, school vacation, quarantine, etc., so I can better understand why in some neighborhoods you only see women and very young children and in others you see people of all ages and sex.

  3. As a college student in the 80s, life was difficult here, pickpockets, thieves , purse and jewelry snatchers. So much hunger and poverty, political instability, drugs starting to proliferate, prostitution , white slavery. Nowadays the crimes seem to have tempered down , food cheaper and in abundance. More crowded but better fed , is that possible ?
    Currently,

  4. you can tell a lot of people do not have cell phones…. because you can see their faces forward out in the streets 🙂 I wonder if they have internet??

  5. do you think there would be less people on the street if everyone had access to the internet??

  6. you can see they get most of their information by word of mouth 🙂 (better than information coming from a few influencers with no certifiable backgrounds)

  7. they call it dangerous because you can trip and fall into those cracks and potholes on the ground while walking!!! 🙂

  8. you must have excellent balance just to walk these back alleys!!:-) ♦♦♦♦♦

  9. remote control cars are a bad idea for gifting into these areas…… but "drones" would excellent as long as you have a good landing and takeoff site 🙂

  10. I am very impressed with your videos, God bless Phillipines. Greetings from Brazil

  11. 26:24 finally found a playground for kids…. dangerous but then again, no one seems to be complaining about it:-)

  12. 26:59 I would put solar panels on the side of the bridge and use it to power the whole village….. they can build a small island just for the batteries 🙂

  13. How is Marcos doing since he was elected? Any progress at all to help the citizens there?

  14. Pasil is never dangerous neighborhood. My father had a family living there in the 70's. Pasil is a man made land. It's made out of trash. They dumped the trash there and the trash turned into land. There was hardly no house there in the early 70's. Now it's full.
