音羽山清水寺は京都東山に位置し、京都駅からバスで20分です。音羽山清水寺の創建は778年といわれ、京都が都になる前から存在する寺院です。８世紀前半に西国の観音霊場を巡る西国三十三所巡礼の十六番札所に定められ、現代においては1994年にユネスコ世界文化遺産に登録されました。清水の舞台や三重塔、放生池などの周囲には約1000本のヤマモミジが植えられており、秋には視界一面の見事な紅葉を楽しむことができます。例年の見頃は１１月下旬から１２月上旬です。

動画の最初に映る三重塔に朝日が届き始めるのがこの時期ですと８時頃になります。混雑を避ける意味では、もう少し早く参拝したいところですが、朝日に輝く紅葉を見るのでしたら、そのくらいの時間を目安にされるとよいかと思います。
清水の舞台の前にある紅葉全体が日の光に照らされるのはもう少し遅くて、この日（11/23）で午前１０時ごろでした。何度も、清水の舞台の正面に位置する奥の院の舞台に足を運んで光の具合をチェックして少し大変でしたが、清水の舞台が真っ赤な紅葉の上に浮かぶ光景を見たときは最高でした。夕方の西からの斜光を浴びる舞台も素敵だろうなと思いますので、いずれまた参拝（と撮影）をしたいと思います。

Kiyomizu-dera Temple is located in Higashiyama area, east part of Kyoto. It takes 20 minutes by bus from Kyoto Station. Kiyomizu-dera temple was founded in 778. That was before Kyoto became the ancient Japanese capital. It is 16th sacred sites of the Saigoku (West Japan) Kan-non Pilgrimage. It was registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1994. About 1,000 maples are planted around the Kiyomizu stage, the three-storied pagoda, and Hojo Pond, and you can enjoy the magnificent autumn leaves all around your field of vision. The best time to enjoy autumn leaves is usually from late November to early December. Enjoy the autumn leaves at Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto in autumn.
Memorandum for photographers and videographer
The morning sun begins to reach the three-story pagoda shown in the first part of the video around 8:00 a.m. at this time of year. To avoid crowds, you may want to visit the temple a little earlier, but if you want to see the autumn leaves shining in the morning sun, you should get there around that time. It was around 10:00 a.m. on this day when the entire autumn foliage in front of the stage of Kiyomizu was illuminated by the sunlight. It was a little difficult to visit the stage of Okuno-in, located in front of the stage of Kiyomizu, to check the light conditions, but it was great to see the stage of Kiyomizu floating above the bright red autumn leaves. I think the stage in the evening slanting light from the west would be lovely, and I would like to visit (and shoot) it again at some point.
