Tofukuji Temple is located in Higashiyama ward, 3 minutes by train from Kyoto Station and 10 minutes walk from Tofukuji Station. About 2,000 maple trees are planted in the precincts of the temple. It is one of the best spots in Kyoto for autumn leaves. From Tsutenkyo Bridge, the colorful autumn leaves as far as the eye can see are truly spectacular.
