– Think of my streams as being invited to my house. If you enjoy it and behave well, you are welcome to stay. If you don’t like it you can leave. But if you are annoying, leaving rude comments or being disrespectful, it will most likely just lead to me closing the door to you and never let you in again. I use the ban function very liberally.
– Comments about individual people that appear in the background of my video will be removed.
– Read the FAQ (below) before asking questions.
– Generic questions about Japan/Tokyo are better asked to Google.
– Avoid foul language (as it might be blocked by Google and/or channel moderators).
– Do not communicate exclusively in emoji.
– Use English or Japanese in the chat.
– Sexist, racist, xenophobic or other comments deemed inappropriate will likely lead to an immediate ban.

  1. Enjoyable walk once again even though i missed the most of it 🙂Thank you anyway TE 🙂👍!!

  2. @Tokyo Explorer thank you again for venturing out in the rain to take us along on your walk today. Familiar surroundings, but enjoyable as always. I hope you and your family have an enjoyable weekend together and look forward to your next walk.

  3. It's not miserable if your watching from the comfort of a warm room sat infront of a screen with a nice cup of tea and biscuits!…hehehe!.😉😁..As it is..right this second as I type..it's hammering it down with rain here in Scotland!..hahaha!..

  4. I find the contrast of the physical layout of the infrastructure compared to what we have here in Scotland…totally fascinating!…So much to catch the eye…It's what I would call so very "busy" ?..in an interesting way……Have you ever thought of using a 360 camera on your walks?….Mind you I guess if you did you'd have no real reason to stop and look in the direction of points of interest…Well you could…to allow for a longer 360 view..if that makes sense?…🙂…If would be like our personal Google maps!….hehehe!….Being able to walk the allyways and paths that Google does not…so making it a more personal POV…Many years ago I came across something similar done by a guy here in Scotland…What he did was film himself driving around his local areas (town, city). Covering every street…like Google maps…The difference was that is was a realtime video…Like you were traveling in the car….and everytime you came to a road junction, the video would stop and give you the option (via onscreen clickable buttons) of which way he should drive…So you could choose where he went…This was not LIVE of course…..But it was like going for a drive from your computer screen!…I just wish I still had the link (if it's still available)..It was sometime ago…I would say maybe 15 years?….I have never seen anything like it since.

  5. Ah!..at 38.30..I think that answered my question about whether using a 360 might be an idea….Having control of the composition etc…..Wouldn't have that with a 360 camera I guess.

  6. Your English, Swedish, Japanese and German are better than mine! (which is 0)…A little can go a long way.👍

  7. With a gimbal you'd have to make sure that the phone holder isn't going to interfere with the phones control buttons….eg..putting pressure on volume, or camera keys etc…Have you had any problems?..if so how did you over come them?..BTW….I have 6% Swedish DNA…..I have not found the link..but I am thinking it dates back to the time of the Vikings….I do have a link back to a Norman Knight known as "Sir Peter Gaunt d'Or"…c.1035

  8. Considering Japan's association with earthquakes…A playground under a roadway doesn't seem like a good idea!.

  9. You want grey and depressing?…come to Scotland!…Much rather be walking aound Tokyo when it's raining…For me I feel there would be so much to distract me from the weather…Plus so many places where you can get out of rain…Not so here.

  10. What would be your best tips or advice for traveling around Tokyo for a first timer with no experience of such an enviroment.?..or knowledge of the language!..Is there a travel card you can use on all transports?..Like a day travel card which coveres the buses, subways, trains etc?…Where would you get it..and how much would it cost?…roughly?……If so..is there a weekly version?…I know I know..I am asking alot…Thanks.

  11. Glad to have Tokyo Explorer streams again, even if they are (Rainy) Tokyo (Grumpy Middle Aged) Explorer. 🙂

  12. Nice to see you walk more often now, but as an european im also sad that you do it so early. But as you explained it, its understandable that you do so. Still afterall im happy to see more of your vids 😊

  13. ( As far as routes to take is concerned ) it really doesn't matter. You are in Japan. And no matter what direction you go, and no matter the route travelled, it is all new to us. So we will watch. And watch due to curiosity. I live in Edinburgh. I write letters to friends. Some of the letters have me writing about taking random tours of Edinburgh on their behalf. I pick a start point; write down everything I see as well as any stories/ connections to famous people related to the starting point. The routes I write about have a fluidity. So the starting point can be the same, but the developing route isn't. Just do the same when you walk.

  14. It was a rainy morning, but we still enjoyed your walk. Greetings from Naples, Florida. Thank you so much for sharing this part of the world with us. (like 368) 👍
