so it's a subaru xv??? Why crosstrek
Love your Subaru 🙂 But whenever you get a new one, make sure its a Hybrid 😉 Hybrids are the best for overnight car camping, with climate control all night, on almost zero gas !
Nice clean simple functional! Overlanding episode it is :).
Great video and very informational. I like the fact that you DIY and that it possible to accomplish this while not splurging.
I'm only 5'10" and found trying to sleep in the back of an XV horrible.. the length is technically okay but the lack of headroom is a killer, it makes getting in and out of the thing a massive chore. My alternative is to clear out the passenger seat and lean the seat all the way back. Not an award winning sleep but I can do it for about a week before body parts start to hurt.
Mine is 100% stock and it's capable enough to get me to 95% of the scenery and trailheads I want to get to. Of course it can't rock climb but rigs that can do that come with their own downsides so we all gotta pick and choose.
Sweet setup, Brent. Amazing what one can squeeze into a vehicle anymore. Technology does have its benefits for sure. Kinda miss the old wall tent though. Now there was living high on the hog.🤓Here ya on the paid off vehicles. Making a vehicle payment and buying fuel for it also in the same month would be pretty depressing these days. Sure hope that changes soon. Keep up the good work. Great video.👍👍
I’m getting one of those gazebos! Nice video buddy 👊🏼
Great video. Looks like a very efficient setup! Thanks for the run down, I have always been curious about it from other videos.
Thanks for the video Brent
Thanks for the tour, Brent, it was both educational and entertaining.
A fully paid off vehicle is the best kind.
Your videos have been a great help sir! Was just wondering if you had a video that touches base on center focus lock?
I go with my Honda jazz and a 4 people tent on the side ..I don't go as wild as i take a 7 years old child with me but I go out so that's the important part
Remarkably organized.
I'd recommend relocating your IFAK to an easy access also minimize heat exposure hence prolonging the kit expiration
Nice, functional
Nice build! I have a 2021 Crosstrek Sport and I live in it when I'm on the road. Love to see the ideas folks come up with. I hear you say 'We' so you must travel with spouse or the like .. I am single and the Trek works well .. I took off my roof rack and aero bars as they were costing me almost 4 mpg! Just spooned on a set of 225/65 17" BFG KO2's .. liking them alot! Had Toyo All Terrains but a sidewall puncture left me no options but to replace all tires. No tent for me .. at 77 my tent years are over .. my bed in the Trek is really comfortable .. for one person. I subscribed so I can follow your travels! 🤠
Thanks for sharing man, it's a beautiful thing. You do beautiful work, and it sounds like your family is beautiful also.
This was fun to watch.
Well done Brent, two questions 1. the john 2. where did you get the window covers? thanks
oops…….asked too soon found the shades…….sorry…….ss
I've got a Jetta Sportwagen TDI that I put a three inch lift and built a bed/storage setup on and it works perfectly.
Nice rig Brent. I sadly had to trade in my 2011 f150 ive had for nearly 10 years. i decked out for these types of adventures with a truck topper. Had some awesome times in that thing with plenty of room. Sadly the engine and timing went out and recently bought a new jeep Cherokee. Smaller but better on gas. No rooftop tent or lavish overland stuff here either. Just gonna make do with what i have and make it something similar to your rig. Its all about getting outdoors, Cheers brother.
