From what I've seen, the rickshaws in Kyoto all have hand levers. Not sure if it's some local or prefecture law requiring rickshaws to have hand brakes, but would be interesting to find out why only in Kyoto is the handle required 🤷🏼♂️
We saw your window reflection as you passed outside the Cafe. Why don't you reveal yourself so we can get to know you better? Also, while in Kyoto have you had a chance to see the Kyoto Tachibana HSB? They are probably one of the best brass bands worldwide. I'm sure your readers would love to watch them.
