Lauterbrunnen is the most beautiful village in Switzerland and Europe, is a municipality in the Swiss Alps, situated in one of the most impressive trough valleys in the Alps, between gigantic rock faces and mountain peaks. With its 72 thundering waterfalls, secluded valleys, colourful alpine meadows and lonely mountain inns, the Lauterbrunnen Valley is one of the biggest nature conservation areas in Switzerland. Lauterbrunnen Valley is by far one of the most popular destinations in Switzerland, boasting glacial waterfalls, hiking trails, ski slopes, and quaint villages.

The very name ‘Lauter Brunnen’ (‘many fountains’) suggests the magnificence of this landscape. There are 72 waterfalls in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the most famous being the Staubbach Falls. Plunging almost 300 metres from an overhanging rock face, they are one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Europe. In 1779, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe visited the valley, and was inspired by the roaring waters to write his well-known poem ‘Spirit song over the waters’

Another deafening natural phenomenon are the Trümmelbach Falls in the ‘Black Monk’ mountain, hidden behind mighty rock faces. Up to 20,000 litres of water per second cascade over the ten glacier falls from a total height of about 200 metres. This spectacle can only be reached in summer by tunnel lift.

    Wow, just when we thought your videos couldn’t get any better, you surprise us once again! We loved the parade of decorated Cows and the flatbed truck stacked with cheese. Lauterbrunnen is one of the most beautiful towns in Switzerland and the only place we’ve seen that has a waterfall that seems to create a fine mist as it falls.

    Такая красота и чистота, что не верится, что здесь люди живут. Кстати, их как-то и не особенно наблюдается. Мелькнул один прохожий, пару парашютистов приземлились и кто-то проехал на каком-то транспортном средстве. Не понятно, где жители покупают продукты и остальные необходимые для жизни вещи, и куда девается мусор? Или это чисто туристическое место: приехал, погулял, перекусил в ресторане, переночевал в отеле и уехал? Так вроде нет – полноценная деревня с домиками разного достатка.

    Спасибо!!! Это самое лучшее видео о Лаутербруннен!!! Были там в 21г – это сказочное место, всем советую (по-возможности!) там побывать!!! Не жалейте денег на "региональную карту" – она себя оправдывает в несколько раз и даёт возможность путешествовать по региону ЮнгФрау с раннего утра до поздней ночи! 🤩
