After being apart for one week, Tanner takes two trains in Germany, one flight to Hungary & a bus in Budapest to make his way to Willa & I! We had missed him on our adventures with my grandparents, but are excited for this new travel adventure to begin with him! But first, he is taking you with him as he experiences the German train system again. Very surprisingly, HIS TRAIN TICKET WAS MORE THAN HIS FLIGHT! So, how much was did his flight cost exactly?? Watch to find out! 🙂

Thanks for being here! Be sure to subscribe to keep following along our adventures here in Europe.

  1. Once I solt my car and decided to use public transportation in Combination with my bike I have been stressed all the time. Then I changed my mindset about it. Never choose the fastest connection. Take your time. Drink a coffee read a newspaper or a book. Never run to catch a train. It's not worth it. It's all in your head

  2. Well if you choose to give your money to the most obnoxious and unjust company in europe and you don't care that the people who have to operate this plane for you and serve you are being treated like shit, sure you can have it cheap but than you can also cheer up about how cheap products produced by child labor are…

  3. Cheep flight tickets are one of the many problems which cause climate change. Flying is much too cheep, while train tickets are too expensive….
Good to see you united again. Especially in Budapest, my most favourite city. Very much looking forward to your next videos….
    Grüße aus der Südpfalz!
PS: Highly recommend to check the view on the city at night from the palace!

  4. Hope you had a great time in Budapest, it‘s a beautiful city. I recently went to Latvia because I have family there, traveled around a bit, and realized what a stunning country it is. The most beautiful beaches in Liepaja und Ventspils, so many lakes and forests, the Gauja National Park and such special architecture in Riga and Kuldiga. Plus the history is very interesting. It‘s not touristy though, so if you are looking for a hidden gem, this is it. I‘m sure you would love it 🙂

  5. Hi, from a half hungarian and half german girl. So cool to watch the first episode of your trip at my birthday. <3

  6. Yes.. but Ryan Airs cheap flights are ONLY cheap and cost affective if you stay/live near the start and end destinations and you do not need luggage! Hold luggage costs 40€, hand luggage 100€ (prices when looked a week ago: 27 sept 22).

I am British, living in Bremen, Germany and fly home to see my family in the UK several times a year! My family live in Cornwall.

There are RA flights from Bremen, and we could use the tram which is cheap. But leaving and arriving times mean midnight to 3am..so usually take taxi with the kids.

Also Ryan Air flys to London Stansted (which is not London, its north of London).. then we need trains and buses to the SW..which go over london, so we have to pay the London surcharge. The Ryan Air flights are always stupid times, to keep their prices down, which means traveling trains at peak/most expensive times into London on arrival and out of London on departure. Also departure flight times mean we have to travel up to Stansted the day before. This then requires a hotel room for less than 1/2 the night..I have kids. But would have to get up 2am in hotel to be at airport 2 hrs before check in for Ryan Air flight…

So if you add ALL these, trains, buses, hotel costs, luggage costs, taxis etc it ends up that you pay roughly the same as using regular airlines like KLM and Lufthansa: Which are nicer plane's, fly at sensible times, bring me close to home/family in the UK, include hand luggage, drinks and snacks on board and don't require loss of holiday day for travel and they cut travel time door-to-door by over half…so Ryan Air are useless for us.

  7. Ha, my Grandfather was also Hungarian. I fell in love with Budapest when I was there in 2006.

  8. It depends on the state. Here in NRW we can reach with an Abo, costs me 50 Euro a month for whole Düsseldorf, all cities in NRW, also Belgium, Netherlands cities at the border. For two weeks now and than every weekend

  9. YOU haaaave to eat LANGOS in Hungary !!! And anything related to red pepper!!
BUY red pepper powder for cooking!! THE BEEEST IN THE WORLD!!
    >> Coming froma german!! Volksfest Langos or self made at home are awesome BUT NOTHING beats the real deal from Hungary!!

  10. That was a lovely video.
If you are early enough you can get cheaper tickets, I bought a ticket from Vienna to Plattling in Bavaria for €29,- and the retour ticket for the same price + tickets for the seat.
Ryanair plans to rise the prices for the tickets because of all the costs.
In the most cases a train ticket should be more affordable than a flight ticket, this often has something to do with government subsidies, unfortunately the automotive industry still gets a lot more than the railways and the bureaucracy then takes care of the rest to the detriment of the passengers.

  11. ⚠️Guys I have been following you since well over a year and one thing I have noticed is that you do NOT really respond to comments🤔. Eg. In your last video you responded to 36 of 410+ comments! And only a few of those responses were ACTUAL written replies. And most you replied to were "your daughter is sweet comments." Which she is! But you being so upset pulled our (especially us mums) heaetstrings, which is why we all replied in detail.

To build your channel, and work with the you tube logarithms you need people to "subscribe, turn on the notification bell and comment below."👍

You tubes is not TV.. it is a community which people like to feel a part of. They follow because they like the content, but also because like YOU, the you tubers. If you don't "interact" with your subscribers you will loose them!.. making and posting videos is only part of the job!😉

Honestly your channel is the only one I follow that I have noticed is SO bad at this🙈..eg in the last video, where you were so stressed about the pregnancy, and where lots of us gave longer informative tips in the comments on dealing with pregnancy/birth issues (from a foreigners perspective) in Germany. ..which by the way, you asked us to do🤔. So it is frustrating for us if we take the time to comment and give tips/help/advice, but have no idea if you have even bothered to read them because you don't give our comments a like or reply or even mentions us/ our comments/what you found useful in the following videos.

All the you tubers I watch that have grown their channels to 100K, 1M, and beyond all take the time to read, reply and mention tips they gained from the comments.

You guys are starting to come across as if you only do you tubes for a job, to make money to live on (which might be the case), but huge successful channels don't have this mentality!.. You tubes is something you should do with passion eg Like a vocational job. If you don't. It becomes clear to your subscribers that you are "only in it for the money" and they will leave because they do NOT get the "community vibe".

I love your content. But this is something that is making you stand out (negatively) from all the other (now huge) you tube channels I follow.

  12. Travelling with the DB just take it as a kind of adventure and you will be fine. Living so close to a Ryan Air destination I am sure you more often will go for short visits to certain destinations. Nice to see Willa is nearly running you over and so happy to see you again. I am sure you both took your time cuddeling which wasnt recorded. Well done. Waiting for your next video and have a great time with your grandparents. Hope both are recovered well from C. CU

  13. Investing in crypto now should be in every wise individuals list, in some months time you'll be ecstatic with the decision you made today.

  14. This only shows how the real costs for the flight are hidden away in a financial maze. Someone else has to pay for it.

  15. The cheap tickets are just one factor in it – the other factor is how Ryanair treats its workers and environmental friendliness of flying to taking the train… Even if it takes some hours more – the Flixbus from Weiden to Budapest costs from 39 EUR onwards. An overnight trip from Friday 19:00 to Budapest 7:45 you can get for 44 EUR.

  16. Enjoyed watching your adventures of getting around. What an adventure! Thank you for sharing your adventures.

  17. If you are on the train more often then it will be more economical to have a Bahncard. The BC25 saves you 25% of the ticket and the BC50 50%. With planning ahead you can get similar discounts. But then you have to commit to your trip on the long distance trains. At least get a BC25. It is not that expensive.

  18. Ryan Air is one of the last "Billigflieger' budget airlines left in Europe, although you are paying extra for your baggage and food. Most of the budget airlines went bankrupt and Ryan Air already announced that they will increase their prices shortly. Regarding train rides to any airport, you have to count in delays and therefore should leave hours early. Also, in the last months there have been additional waiting times at the airport due to not enough staff for security and baggage handling.

  19. And we all should have realized by now that these cheap flights are only possible as neither carriers nor airports have to pay for the environmental damages nor get taxed appropriately.
We all wish for cheap travel. But it simply isn’t. We only got used to subsidized prices over the last 2 decades. And we ignored the environmental impacts completely.

  20. Oh you guys have been to Indonesia. I am a subscriber from Bali, Indonesia. I love all your videos. Always watching them especially I have been exploring Europe for a bit this year and hopefully more next year.

  21. Paying for choosing a seat is giving in to that @%#$ O'leary! Just flew back fro Edinburgh to Weeze this week. My wife and I managed to sit together although our randomly allocated seats were 14 rows apart. Win for us!

  22. Must be the standard price 😂 I once went from Berlin to Budapest with my friends and it was only 48 € per person. So as the return flight was included, it was 24 € as well. But it was a few years ago when everything was cheaper.

  23. You didn't have to pay 7€ to reserve your seat and avoid check in. When you do online check in it assigns you to a random seat and you can just go through security and then to your gate. Normally 24€ is a steap price, I normally don't pay more 10€, ideally 5€ 🤣. Once we payed 3€ one way but I don't think that will happen again 🙈.

  24. With Ryanair gate closing time is usually the time they start boarding, they are always streamlining

  25. I have left once my (quite old but still functional bike) at the main station in Nuremberg for 5 months, it was still there…

  26. Fasten your seat belt because a direct german opinion follows 😉 : Your longer conversations with the face mask were tiring for me because your facial expressions were missing. Maybe in the future you can film in places where masks are not required. The video was still funny at the end.

  27. Thats why i hate The German Train !! for me this is Abzocke/ rip off ! it cost so much .. so i go and use my car . befor i will get one food in this trains ! Ure Gouverment need realy change some things ! hope dies Last.. 😀
