I understand that you like to go with the flow but that doesn't work everywhere. The receptionist was absolutely wrong but u should have informed yourself better about early check in or at least the area u are staying in. Information is important and will save u money! Stay safe.

Marwa i like your spirit. But with this kind of attitude in a foreign location could be dangerous. In South africa you could be the fish of the day sitting outside in that time of the day.no matter what next yime in such a situation i suggest you pay the extra as requested

Not a good welcome at all. Cab driver shouted as if you are deaf and can’t stay at the reception. Maybe staying at the airport till almost check in time would have been better.

as a paying guest the receptionist should have at least let you sit in the reception .In Thailand and the Philiphines you can actually pay for early check-in or at least hang out in the reception.

The reason for you not saying in that hotel after just landing in India,don't you know in India they train their kids not to like black people…I was told by many Indians in Canada that reason…don't shoot the messenger…I would complain to the head office of that hotel…check the bed thoroughly it might have bugs..
You've had it all…actually sleeping on the streets upon arrival to a country. This is the best warning for travelers.
They are thousands of hotels you could have easily found something in the next street corner… Don't waste time when it comes to these things with foolish folks. They were plenty of others options man….

Overpaid for cab. Should have paid at pre-paid taxi booth outside airport.
This is a $10 hotel. You may have overpaid but that is the standard of service to expect from such cheap hotels. Would have been more comfortable if you waited at the airport. Always call ahead and confirm details with hotel.

The Indians of North India are very rude and prejudiced. They have too many hang ups…With caste etc. The States of UP and Bihar are the most depraved. They have the most violent crime and rape. You should travel to the South, especially Kerala. They speak a lot of English there. Goa used to be great but too many North Indians have moved there now, and spoiled the place. European tourists that used to return every year to Goa are slowly stop coming to Goa as they say the people have changed. They said in the past the Natives used to smile and were very friendly. But the North Indians bought the hotels and restaurants in Goa and in their typical way, they never smile and appear rude. they don't realize they are rude. they lack all skills. All the Scammers in the US and UK are from North India.
In the US, for $10 will not even get you a meal at McDonald's. A regular hotel room like that one is around $100.00.
You dont drag your asssss at 5 AM to a hotel that you are supposed to check in at noon then start saying people are bad.There are laws and regulations in any business enterprise and people have jobs to do.You should have paid to get the hospitality you wanted.NO TIME FOR FREE THINGS

You should've moved to the aisle seat. That way you both could've had 2 arm rests each and used the middle seat and tray as an auxiliary unit! That's what I do when that happens. 👍🏾

Bro India is a biggg country. Even as a citizen of Northeast India sometimes we face discrimination and inhuman nature from the mainland people specially from Delhi & Mumbai. But as a country India has so much more to offer to it's tourists. It's unique culture, ethnicity, different varieties, natural beauties is the best.
