  1. Thank you for taking us for a walk, despite the rain and wind, Shinichi and Satoshi. 😊Roppongi looks lovely–very much like the high-end areas of other major cities. I enjoy visiting such areas for window shopping and clubbing, but mostly wouldn't want to live there. Too expensive and "fancy." I would, however, have gone to the discos with you back in the day, Shinichi. I miss the dancing and general craziness of the huge, fabulous gay clubs/dance bars of NYC, Baltimore, and DC.💃🕺🎉🏳‍🌈 Love you both. ❤❤

  2. Why are you out during a typhoon time??? I do love your tours. And I do truly love your enthusiasm for the city. It is truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing your life with us who are so far away. (Wisconsin, USA). And I would never want to live in the "high rent: areas—there is NO personality there! I am into quality–not names.

  3. So I had to look it up 😁. The Ritz Carlton costs between ¥80,000 – ¥125,000 depending when you go (weekends/on season are obviously more expensive). All things considered, I think it's a decent price. If I ever win the lottery, I'd love to stay there 😆. Though I don't think I'd like to live in the ¥1,000,000 Roppongi apartments.

  4. Wow..that’s my favourite area! My friend happens to live in that brown building. Her apartment is gorgeous! Love that square. I can’t wait to hang around in Tokyo again, visit all the fine restaurants, izakayas and bars!! 😊

  5. Falafel brothers is really nice, then again it was the only place in Japan I could find that had falafel ^^V

  6. Thank you for the video Shinichi! I love wandering around with you and Satoshi. In answer to your question, no I do not feel I could live in Roppongi, visit yes, live no. I hope you both are having fun, enjoying awesome food and hopefully getting to have family visit now the boarders are opening.

  7. Around @10:00 on the opposite side of that road I loved the glass art style chairs wonder if there still there was cool!!!
@11:12 yes shinichi it’s such a cool book store 2 levels very nice agreed!!!
    Nice city walk guys!!! 🏃🏼‍♂️👍🏻

  8. There were gorgeous Christmas lights among street nearby Roppongi Hills. I took a night time bus tour which took famous locations of Christmas lights around Tokyo including Roppongi. It was so amazing. I hope you two will have a chance to join in the bus tour.

  9. Hi Shinichi and Satoshi from Troy and me!!!! Thank you for braving yhe weather to show us this beautiful area. Troy's quote for that apartment building is "are they crazy? You can use that money to buy a house".

  10. I love name brand things because they are made very well but it doesn’t bother me to have cheaper things, because saving money is a great thing 😂

  11. if money were NOT an option then yes i would love to live in a place where I could walk around at. It reminds me of my shopping district only mines a bit more affordable. I have to look into it again but i still dont have the money to live on my own yet, and it stinks so hard.

¨A modern kemono¨ huh that hurts my brain. I still have yet to read up on my japanese history but i do love my japanese history though. I would rather attend Japanese history then American history, its strange.

  12. I once did a project in university about the Galleria mall you visited on the influence of Shinto with the use of plants and wood. Thank you for showing us beautiful Roppongi!

  13. I have been to Roppongi once or twice but I think that was almost 20 years ago. It's has some nice spots but it's not my favourite area in Tokyo and it's relative far from where i usually stay. I wouldn't want to live there, not only because it's expensive but I just love the quiet of the suburbs. And if I would want to go to a high end store I would go to Ginza. But it's fun to watch a walk like this since i don't know the area well.

  14. Shinichi – I love your perspective of things. I would never feel totally comfortable in such a fancy part of town. You teach me a lot about these places and I can understand the fancy life a bit better! You guys are looking great. I hope you have a fun winter planned for yourselves. I can’t wait to see more Satoshi skiing and frolicking in the snow!
