Hi! Thanks for tuning into another Episode of our life on the road. This week we take you to the French Pass in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. This remote location captivated us and we experienced the best fishing we have ever had. We also took a wee trip over to D’Urville Island to have some Kai at the Wilderness resort.
We hope that you enjoy the video and if you would like to support us please hit subscribe!
See you out there!

Blue Cod,the best Fish ever!.
Mum sounds Ike an Aussie.🙂
Looks absolutely stunning there. I used to love kayak fishing until a shark followed up my snapper and freaked me out!
Our family stayed there with another family back at the end of 1998. Had a scare going through the channel where the water whirlpools and our small dingy nearly capsized. Saw a pod of Dolphins cruising around the bay. Have also taken the ferry that used to go between Wellington and Nelson which went directly through the pass. The captain invited us up to the bridge when we went through, looked like threading a needle, felt so tight. The trip on that ferry took 10 hours and used to take trucks, was run by Bluebridge.
What kind of inflatable boat are you using?
Hi Guys. Is that a 280 or 330 TrueKit Discovery? Thanks.
The smiles and laughter – the best part of teaching them to fish 🙂
Nice family bonding
