After that, we went to a couple of historic shops that for 3 generations have been making desserts and helva in Izmir, Turkey.

To continue our Izmir street food tour in Turkey, we went to a very local restaurant selling the best beans stew, and rice pudding I’ve ever eaten.

After that, we went to have an insanely spicy dish that we’d never tried before, Tire kofte.

We couldn’t leave Izmir without trying one of the most iconic breakfast food, Boyoz.

To end our Izmir street food tour in Turkey, we had the privilege to witness the entire cooking preparation of the famous Kuyu Kokorec, underground roasted kokorec.
