A popular shopping and residential district, it is one of Istanbul’s most exclusive neighbourhoods. The area includes fashion shops, department stores, cafés, pubs, restaurants and night clubs.

Abdi İpekçi Street or Abdi İpekçi Avenue is one of the premier shopping streets of İstanbul, Turkey, located in the Nisantasi, Şişli.

Abdi İpekçi Street, Turkey’s most expensive shopping street in terms of lease prices, stretches from the neighbourhoods of Maçka and Teşvikiye to the center of Nisantasi.

During the last decade, the street in the prestigious neighborhood developed into a place hosting luxury retail shopping venues. It is currently the most expensive street for retail stores in Turkey. A variety of exclusive and expensive shops offering Turkish and international designer labels, restaurants of international cuisine and cafés are lined up on both sides of the street.

Nisantası has the largest community of foreign residents in Istanbul after Taksim and Cihangir.

The neighborhood of Nisantasi is unparalleled in terms of entertainment. World-class restaurants, cafes, and pubs with various activities. Nisantasi host large malls such as City’s and Cevahir Mall which can be easily reached via a short walk.

Each morning, the side streets are crowded due to the charming cafes they host. Whether you want to take a sip of espresso or latte at one of the coffee chains or you need something more specialized, stop by one of the hippest cafés to be found in the city. Be aware that since celebrities frequent here, it is not uncommon to come across several paparazzi or expensive sports cars.

Definitely the most exclusive shopping street in Istanbul, you’ll find all the major designer stores on this street as well as the city’s wealthy residents hanging out in the many cafés and restaurants. From Prada to Cartier, and Louis Vuitton to Tom Ford, Nisantasi has all the stores you’d expect from a wealthy neighborhood.

Make sure to also wander around the Teşvikiye neighborhood nearby, where you’ll come across many small restaurants, cafés, boutiques, and bars that have been opened by the city’s younger cooler entrepreneurs.
