Being at Nagashima Spaland on my Japan vacation last year, I managed to get several rides on White Cyclone as well as Steel Dragon 2000. Not a bad woodie, (the helixes are strong on the laterals and the best air is on the drop after the first helix) plus its one of the most beautiful looking coasters I've seen. However, I think Regina at Tobu Zoo is slightly better.
Hi Everyone 🙂 The White Cyclone is almost identical to the Son of Beast that was torn down at Kings Island this does look like a kick ass coaster 🙂 have a great day 🙂
Beautiful but I am not a fan of a wide helix, so to me there is tons of wasted space. I built a model in 1978 that had a much tighter version of the first helix, but it was long before this Japanese coaster was built. It was displayed at the 1980 Coaster Con and I cannot help but think a few moves were inspired by that model. That little hump following the first helix was more abrupt on mine, but it is in the same spot. I know it sounds crazy but…
Now THIS is A REAL coaster. You are SUPPOSED to be shaken about when you ride. You young people are PUNKS, you all can't handle a little rattle and roll. A steel coaster is supposed to give you smooth and floating A WOODIE is supposed to give a totally different feel. What's the point of a Woodie if RMC is going to come in and make it totally smooth? I ABHOR RMC refurbs unless it's TOPPER TRACK.
That is one heck of a big in size and long in length of ride roller coaster. I haven't seen too many wood coasters with the high headrests though. Nice ride!

And you clearly deserve money from them because of that.
That first helix looks pretty damn rough.
Except it actually isn't the same, and there are tons of wooden coasters out there that are similar to SFNE's Cyclone that came before it.
This Helix is Fairy Big!!
The world's largest ramp.
Lots of rust
Great coaster, great video … I thought I'd like the front seat version, but the back seat version is better.
This is a wooden rollercoaster cos ive been on it and im english
essa nao chega aos pes da montezum
thumbs up if you saw steel dragon 2000 at 1:24!
We didn't. We were all looking at the trees.
Love your man boobie!
this roller coaster is good, but the times must be restored urgently!
i have to disagree with that
I didn't research before commenting. Don't mind me. XD
Awesome vids man!!! You're vid's are fantastic! This rickety wooden coaster looks awesome!! 🙂
Now THAT's a Shitload of wood!!!
That has got to be one of the most beautiful wooden coasters I have seen so far.
beyonce would love to grind on that wood
Does the "wheeee" indicate air time?
OMG!!! I really want to go on this! Looks awesome, but awfully short to say its the fourth longest
Why would such a GREAT looking coaster come to such a sudden stop at the end ???
Almost exactly like the American Eagle at Six Flags.

Despite the look of the track and the trains it uses, this Intamin woodie is pretty smooth, according to the POV in the back
Those Japanese sure love their helix's xD
There's that annoying little girl "Wheeee" again…
My first and LAST roller coaster I ever get in to.
This is a very pretty coaster, looks super painful though

@1:52 the ammount of wood and the fact you go straight through it and it forms a tunnel.. i was mindblown! Awesome!
I came from Koe no Katachi
Is the mid-course-brake-run used for it's purpose or is it used from trim brakes?
what a classic
This roller coaster was soooo bumpy and rickety when I went on it
RMC?
I can't freaking wait to see what this guy looks like after RMC gets their hands on this!
happy

I just hope that RMC doesn't get rid of the helixes
Now Known as Hakugei!
This looked absolutely amazing with all the wood but it looks a lot cooler as an RMC now
