Youtubers vary widely in content & all can't be blamed for present changes. There are almost always, economic & political factors at work. Dominican President Abinader was very much involved specifically in the Puerto Plata area of tourism before being elected as President of the country. He had his eye on changes to the are & said tourism has been on the decline since 2004. YouTube started in 2005. I did read where based on youtubers footage, certain interest groups complained & the former Sosua mayor Neumann then rode through & apparently wasn't happy with what she saw. I think it wasn't too long after that plans were made (most likely with Adinader's knowledge/ consent) to move things down by where Ahnvee now is. Anyhow, everyone knows of a very famous red-light area in Amsterdam decades before any YouTube & it lives or dies more from economics than negative press.
I saw this coming.
Yall have an uncanny way of ruining everything from whole zip codes to vacations in other countries. Chinese and European ended all that …
