Eikando Temple is located in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto, about a 15-minute walk from the ‘Keage’ subway station. Officially called Zenrin-ji, it is an ancient temple founded in the Heian period (853).It is known as “Eikando the maple leaves” and is one of the best places in Kyoto to view the autumn leaves. Almost 3,000 maple trees turn the precincts into a world of red in autumn. The best time to see the autumn leaves is from mid-November to late November.

永観堂は京都市左京区にあり地下鉄「蹴上」から歩いて１５分ほどです。正式には禅林寺といい、平安時代（853）に創建の古刹です。「もみじの永観堂」として知られる京都随一の紅葉の名所で、秋には3000本の紅葉が境内を赤く染め上げます。例年の見頃は11月中旬～下旬です。美しく色づいた「もみじの永観堂」の紅葉をご覧ください。
