  1. Thanks for the Shinkansen tip, that could have screwed me next month when I am going

  2. Not sure if you could install or pay with Suica app without a Japanese bank account ?

  3. Do you have a video for your personal recommendations for visiting Tokyo these days? I haven't been since 2013πŸ˜…

  4. Konnichiwa Allison, my heart literally sank to the floor when you said teamlab had gone but then you said it was coming back, we had a hectic 3 week visiting many places and for some reason we never got to experience team lab, kicking myself obvs, great news we'll be visiting from the UK in 2 and a half years time so here's hoping β€οΈπŸ™

  5. Thank you sooo much for this vid and praise finally to YouTube for finally recommending your channel to me – I'm hooked! Watched nearly all your vids in just a day it seems and love the parasocial living I get from you living your best life! Wish you big time stylie luck and fortitude with school and here's to more awesome vids πŸ™πŸŽ‰πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

  6. Thanks for your Video! I will go to Japan in November and i expect to wear mask and stuff BUT i didnβ€˜t know about the lugagge for the shinkansen! I kinda understand it but well.. specially for tourist with all the lugaggeπŸ˜…hope i can make a reservation if i arrive in tokyo narita for the way to osaka.

  7. This is the content I've been waiting for! Thank you Allison – can't wait to get back in April 🌸 Also – is cash still okay everywhere? I know you say there's cashless options, but I love travelling with JPY. Is it like, completely not an option in places, or everywhere still has the option?

  8. Thank you so much! We're going next month. I'll definitely get the luggage transport.

  9. No smoking in restaurants is the best change they've made by far in the past few years. I've spent far too long get choked out by second hand smoke in various bars around Tokyo over the last 5 years

  10. Any news on when masks will be gone. Is there any movement at all in a positive direction ?

  11. Can you clarify the suitcase reservation on the shinkisen how do we make a reservation to bring our suitcases if we feel it’s necessary to do so?

  12. The "Touch thing" sadly in Japan is called FeLiCa and nothing except new apple phones and watches supports it if you buy it in the west your Samungs, Xiaomis, even Sonies don't have it, it's a Japanese only system. So tough luck with android or any other smartwatch brands it simply doesn't have NFC-F or FeLiCa.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FeliCa
European and American NFC won't work in Japan

So you're gonna be stuck with Suicas sadly as a tourist if you don't have iPhone 8 and up or a Apple Watch Series 3 and up.
So Android folks beware. Apple has a 65.37% Smartphone share in Japan. It's basically the default.

  13. Something that you didn't mention is that, while visa restrictions have been lifted (after October 11), COVID-19 vaccination proof reporting has not. People still need to provide evidence of vaccination or negative PCR testing, via the MySOS app.

Also, the government still recommends all foreign tourist travelers to wear masks, while on the other hand, encouraging locals to stop wearing masks.

  14. i got my flight booked for NOV 1-17 so i got a few things to take in… i got a 2016 Samsung J3 so some apps arent compatible. does this luggage size mean length or width? i plan to take 3-4 shinkansen rides.

  15. A tip is to make sure you know your air bnb location and can easily find it, you dont want to pull into random ppl houses and disturb them!

  16. I bought a trip to South Korea a few days before the borders finally opened. I don’t mind. Korea looks fun and maybe they hate foreigners less because the borders have been open longer. I can’t believe Japan is still wearing masks. I am so glad I don’t live there.
