Today I’m taking one of the world’s most luxurious sleeper trains across the mountains of Peru for 72 hours. Run by the same company as the Venice Simplon Orient Express, the Andean Explorer is a luxury first class train which runs multiple itineraries across the country. Onboard I’ll share with you the various restaurants, the observation deck, piano bar and of course a full room tour – I have the best onboard, the one bedroom suite. And what’s more, onboard there’s something I’ve never even heard of being on a train before… a fully functional spa!

As always I’ll give you a full breakdown of what it’s like to take one of the best luxury trains, the cost and my honest opinion on whether you should do the same. So come join me on a luxurious, first class adventure across South America.

  1. Love that you all share this beautiful experience. Growing up overseas I enjoy traveling on trains. I enjoyed the modern, modest decor. Now the OCD in me always notices the gentle ware and tear on the trains. Wishing the train company would dedicate a bigger budget to fix noticeable touchups areas. Lastly night bathing, is l essential to washing away the day. Looking forward to the next adventure!

  2. Me: " Oh, come on, the video thumbnail has to be an exaggeration, photoshopped.."
    I start watching: " wait…. WTF…????"
Shaking my head in absolute amazement.

  3. Having Millie with you made the vlog more relevant to me as I never travel alone. Having a travelling companion makes a journey more fun.

  4. Both of you had a device (black box with blue lights) on you – even in bed. What is it? As always, a very cool video! 🙂 Thanks.

  5. Hey William, I started watching your vid a few days ago and I love every single one of them! Next time, I'd love to see you try South Korea's Rail Cruise Haerang train once it resumes service next year. Keep up the good work!

  6. Watching these vids of yours gives me the insight of not being able to likely live through one of these luxury trips because I wouldn't enjoy the food on offer at all. Call me picky, but a bunch of these exotic foods really don't sound appealing.

  7. Those carriages are ex Queensland Rail carriages built in Queensland Australia. Even the carriages still have Queensland Rail carriage numbers.

  8. The Dude in me is standing in ovation for our bro for making cheeks clap across the most spectacular scenery😂

  9. Some of your comments don’t paint you in the best light. While you may think they are presenting real feedback they actually don’t come across that way.
