Komoro Castle is believed to have been built by Mitsutada Oi in 1487.
Sengoku period, It was made the current territory for Takeda Shingen’s management of Higashi Shinshu.
On April 6, 2006, it was selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Castles (No. 28).
Castle Ruins Currently, it is open to the public as a municipal park, Komoro Castle Ruins.
Selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots, It is also famous for its autumn colors and is crowded with tourists.

小諸城は長享元年に大井光忠によって築城されたと考えられている。
戦国時代、武田信玄の東信州経営のために現在の縄張りとされた。
平成18年4月6日、日本100名城（28番）に選定された。
城跡現在は市営公園小諸城址懐古園として公開されており。
日本さくら名所100選に選定されている、また紅葉の名所としても有名であり多く観光客でにぎわう。
