The filming location was Kakumanbuchi in Gunma. The location was recommended to us by sushi chef and chef Kenjiro Hashida.
Kakumanbuchi is a 1km-long marshland located 1,360m above sea level on Akagi Mountain in the center of Gunma Prefecture, and is also called “Little Oze. In the old days, it was part of the Onuma Swamp, but it became a marsh when water flowed out through the Kakumangawa River into the Onuma Swamp.
On the day of the event, a typhoon was approaching the Japanese archipelago, and it was raining heavily from midnight. The next morning, the rain continued to fall without abating, and although the sun was not expected to rise due to the rain, the deep fog that enveloped Kakumanbuchi drew us into a fantastic world. While waiting to take photographs, I thought about the “white dew” as I watched the fog shimmering on the surface of the water. Soaking wet that I could not distinguish between my body and the rain, I was struck by the lightness of the feathers of the waterfowl floating on the pond as if there was another path, going backwards with the ripples and catching the wind.

太古より音は風化しないですかね。隆起で伝わる音は変化あるけど、いにしえからのことづけなら何か素敵。
