We Swapped Our Vans for 24 hours (Campervan VS Trailer) Ft @The Endless Adventure

In this vanlife video we swap RV’s with Eric & Allison from The Endless Adventure. We meet up with our friends for the first time since our first campervan caught fire in Texas. We had previously planned an epic road trip together but we are now meeting up in completely different rigs than we all had before!
We swap our 1997 Dodge Coach House Campervan with their (much more spacious) 2022 Blackseries Trailer, pulled along by a gorgeous little 1997 Ford f250 truck. We even get to test out driving each other’s rigs to get the full experience.

Make sure to watch the swap from their perspective over on their channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/Theendlessadventure

⭐ About Travel Beans:
Welcome to the official Travel Beans YouTube channel! On this channel, you’ll find a variety of travel and vlog content, in which you’ll see us in places like Thailand, Japan, USA, Slovenia, and more.

In 2017 we left home with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a sustainable travel lifestyle happen! We are now living our dream as digital nomads and want to inspire you to create your own story, whatever it may be!

After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.

Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

  1. Well I am a subscriber to both of these channels so this was extremely fun!! 💞 You got to see all the benefits of theirs which is easy to see doesn't take any time for that.. lol they didn't really get the chance to see all the benefits of yours though. 3 years living in a camper van for one you get super used to the space, what's the time we utilize the outside.. but it's the parking and the flexibility of being able to go anywhere that's why we do vans! They didn't get to have any of those benefits.
Also our bed could also be a table and chairs but we put a 8 in bag in the box mattress from Walmart in there.. never looked back! It's a game changer. A mattress topper helps a little bit you'll still have that bump in the middle a nice big mattress and you'll sleep like a baby without that divider in the center.. haha

  2. On your journey are you heading out to the East Coast to take in the autumn colours? The New England region is famous for its changing leaves.

  3. 100% recommend Costco memory foam topper. I cut mine to fit my rooftop tent and it’s luxury! You can use the cut off pieces for stopping squeaks and putting on driving seat etc

  4. I'm definitely a trailer rather than camper van person. The extra space just allows for so much more comfort in my opinion.

  5. I liked seeing folks living in one of the trailers I'd consider moving into myself should it become possible.

  6. Would rather pull a trailer. More room because no drivers seat area. Can detach when needed.

  7. I think I'd want your van because it's easier to park. That being said if I was to pick one for full-time living it would be Eric and Allison's because it is bigger and has more amenities for daily life. I don't know if you know Kara and Nate, but it would be neat to see you swap vans with them. If Flying the Nest was still doing van life I'd say them too.

  8. My wife and I used to own the coach house that you now own. There used to be two pieces of thin plywood that we put under the mattress and over the mechanical workings to keep the mechanical parts from poking up into the mattress. If those two pieces of plywood are still there that’s what they’re for.

  9. Take the seats out. If you don't use them, they are in the way to a comfortable night's sleep. Super easy to do too! Go for it!! If you need tools and a place to do the conversion, AND you are in Oregon, DM me! 🙂

  10. Thanks for a great video guys… what a great match up for a collaboration! That outdoor kitchen is amazing and the automatic awning looks so luxurious to use.

  11. Keep the van. Much easier to drive & take places a trailer can't! And yes, get a luxury mattress topper. You will never regret it.

  12. I'd like to see you hook up with Mr and Mrs Adventure or with the Vandersons. Except the first is in Europe and the second in South America. Well maybe some day…

  13. I kept waiting for someone to divulge WHERE you were! And it remains a mystery (unless Endless mentions it in their vid, brb)!!

  14. "Cluster Flys" – we have them in the UK as well. When the temperature drops they try to find warm places to hibernate and "cluster" in to small hidden places. When they warm up they come out in their masses. They are particualrly attracted to white buildings, and I guess motorhomes/trailers. Used to live in an isolated white-washed cottage and had thousands of them!

  15. I'm not sure if Alison and Eric's lack of modesty and ripping your van was just banter between mates but it did seem a bit condescending to me as a viewer.

  16. What did you like better and could possibly in the future remodel you home to be more like theirs😎❤️

  17. Well you both had to deal with 🪰 🪰 But nothing broke down an Endless Adventure specialty and nothing blew up…. too soon 🤷‍♂️ I say a totally successful switch.
Nothing but love to all 4 of you ❤️

  18. We love your camper van however wish it had more updates! Enjoy the USA National Parks.

  19. When you visit Zion Nat'l Park, try to enter the park from the east. And for Yosemite, you'll probably enter from the Sacramento way, I'd suggest drive slowly through and enjoy, then turn back to see the new angles of the views. Basically, the direction you enter a park and those views make a first impression which stays with you.

  20. I bought a mosquito swatter after watching this episode, and 😂 its so much fun, as weird and disgusting as that may sound.

  21. Ha, Allison checking on if you heard any beeps. They are just so used to everything breaking that's there morning routine. And props for Alex trying to "get his tits out" on camera!

  22. Fun idea to switch rigs for 24 hours. Wow, that travel trailer has a little bit of everything. Fancy. That was a really cool trailer but we still prefer the Phoenix. We have a 38 foot Class A Diesel pusher we can trade you for 24 hours, LOL What a fun episode. Mary 💕 Fred

  23. Hate to tell you this but there caravan is a little one. I was impressed with some of the features in it though. My trailer is bigger and so is my truck. I am about the length of a UK artic when hooked up and ready to tow. I currently have a 2018 Jayco Jayflight 32BHDS (so you can look it up), it has 2 full bedrooms a large outside kitchen etc. The one we are thinking of getting is a 5th wheel that is larger a Jayco Eagle 355MBQS. If you ever make it near San Francisco I might be able to arrange letting you see inside whatever I have.
