In this virtual tour we walked around Piazza Venezia and inside the Vittoriano.
The Vittoriano is an Italian national monument located in Piazza Venezia (Rome), on the northern slope of the Campidoglio hill.
The Vittoriano was designed by architect Giuseppe Sacconi, its construction began in 1885 and was completed in 1935.
Architecturally and artistically, the Vittoriano focuses on the Risorgimento, the process of national unification and liberation of Italy from foreign domination that took place under the reign of Victor Emmanuel II of Savoy, to whom the monument is dedicated.
It has great representative value and is one of the patri-symbols of Italy.
