Yeah! I’m flying in to Tokyo on 17 October
Hi Nathan. Great to hear from you again. Look forward to watching more videos from you soon. Always informative, always entertaining and interesting. Best regards. Joan Nagase.
We just booked for late may 2023 and it was a bit pricy. BUT WORTH IT!! So excited!
🍾
Now will start to earnestly plan trip for early next year. Hopefully, nothing will gum up the works. Nathan was a positive force when there was little to be positive about. Now that positive news is coming out the Japanese government, he is positively enthusiastic about what can lie ahead. If wearing masks sometimes is a price to pay to visit it's not a deal breaker for me. 🍾
🍾
🎉🍾
Thank you for all the updates Nathan, me and my wife have been following these closely, we booked our honeymoon trip months ago traveling on October 10th…we arrive on the 11th! So very lucky with the recent good news 🙂 Have you ever visited a Sumo competition or baseball game while in Japan? We would love to try get tickets for a playoff baseball game while there but dont know how difficul this might be.
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🇯🇵🇺🇸
It's only a problem if tourist going to Japan are stupid. Remember, you're a GUEST in any country you visit. It's on YOU to abide by that countries laws and policies, regardless of what similar the policies are for similar situations in your own country. It's very simple. There's no reason AT ALL that this should be a problem for ANYONE.
I'd really like to go to Japan starting November and travel around by train visiting a couple of city's. I really don't mind wearing a mask outside and in public transport, but I'm still wary of booking anything (beyond the tickets I had been holding onto since last year xD). I'm still worried that rules and regulations will be enforced to control/limit my travelling around the country.
That aside, Russia also closed their air space for European airlines a couple off days ago. Which could be a problem idk. at the very least flights while have to go a looooong way around, but they might also be cancelled what with the fuel prices being so high that alternative routes might be too expensive for the airline company. In any case booking anything for Japan still feels like a gamble.
Having to postpone my January trip a bit due to a close family member getting surgery, but it may be for the best. When I go there might be more solid rules to go on. As for masks, don't mind wearing them. It's 22 hours of flying from South Africa to Tokyo, but worth it. lol
Do we need to legally wear a mask Outdoors though?
🍾🍾🍾
I have no problem wearing masks 😷 in Japan. I will be there around Christmas time 😊 Flying from Detroit to Haneda. $1000 more than what we paid in 2019. 🍾
The most important thing is to cancel bringing a paper from my work to apply for a tourist visa, and what about the countries that enter only with a visa?
Not gor me, been wearing one for almost two and a half years
I‘ll fly with Finnair. I booked in May for November.
No problem at all, i am booked and looking forward to my first time.
wearing masks in Japan was common courtesy long before covid
and as a guest i will be happy to follow the guide lines while i am there 🙂
The tour operator still has to book flights, but she told me that with some adjustment we should be able to spare something.
About mask wearing, as long as it doesn't become ridiculous, like wearing them while you're sat at your table in a restaurant, it's ok to wear them for me.
Come on, move up and come, November 9th!!!^^
Flying from India, and looking for SQ, ANA and JAL. The prices have gone up insanely! They're almost double or even more compared to few months ago..
Any tips for getting cheaper tickets from these flights?
I am ok with wear mask for properly reasoning, but Japan changing the law for this is not good, It should never have been a law anywhere. Recommendation sure but law no. I am for Freedom for all!!! Please reopen fully without need for mask. And why no to law because then what else will be be allowing govts to do next? In fact we the people of the world should be figuring out how to remove all our incompetent world leaders for allowing sub-par vaccines and this whole situation to even get to this stage
We took all 3 vaccinations, but according to European rules, the first 2 already 'outdated'…
Wonder if that'll be ok?
Yes a mask is worth the trip! I'm taking ANA for the first time at the beginning of January. I can't believe I've worked two years and survived the pandemic without getting sick long enough for Japan to finally open it borders. Tell Japan we said thanks. 🥲
If the price to pay for entering Japan is to wear a mask? I AM IN!! Still to this day, I wear a mask at my work. I was amazed to see most of the travelers wear mask on the plane in 2019 from NY to Tokyo, now I understand and practice the same. Keep up with your great work 🍾🍾
Alot of great news, but sadly some bad news. Being not vaccinated and been going threw covid once. Having natural immunity is great. But japan is almost a year behind going threw post covid. Coming from Norway we have almost no masking, no forced vaccination or other strict guidelines. If you have to wear mask in and out, being vaccinated to pass cpr test before flight is not vacation. It has always my dream traveling to japan, but now its slow burn. Perhaps 2024. We will see. Good news, but unfortunately no green light for us to travel . 😔
Your back ground music is annoying….please consider not have back ground music while you talk….thanks…
Your videos are great
I booked my flight for the 11th of October. Will I be fine? My ticket is not refundable
Do usa citizens need a covid vax to visit??
Is there any sort of quarantine after entering the country? I want to go to Japan in early November and quarantine fears are holding me back 😅
I’m going to land October 10 in Tokyo to Osaka who is too ?
Wearing a mask is not worth it to visit Japan. No more dirty masks they're so much garbage!
Que emoción!!
🍾🍾
To each their own, but i'm definitely not wearing a mask and i'm not even going to pack one. It feels good to be free. if it's officially not a rule then it's officially not a problem.
