—-WHAT’S INCLUDED ON PRINCESS CRUISES—–
0:00 Introduction

—–EVERYTHING INCLUDED IN A PRINCESS CRUISES VACATION—–
Your cruise fare on Princess covers the cost of your stateroom for the duration of the trip, including daily service by a stateroom attendant.

The type of cabin you choose will be the biggest factor when determining your total cruise costs.
Additionally, guests can enjoy three meals a day included in the standard cruise fare on every Princess Cruises’ ship.

Like most cruise lines, Princess Cruises’ main dining rooms offer a multi-course rotational menu that changes nightly. With Dine My Way, guests have the flexibility to choose when and where they eat each evening of the cruise.

Princess Cruises also offers several more casual dining spots that are also included in your cruise fare. Some of these options include the International Café, Alfredo’s & Gigi’s Pizzerias for the best pizza at sea, grill favorites by the pool, and the World Fresh Marketplace buffet.

Further, there is always something to do on a Princess Cruises’ ship that will not cost anything. These complimentary activities include trivia, demonstrations, dance classes, lectures, and the signature Movies Under the Stars. There is also a gym, sports court, and a kid’s program.

There will also be signature entertainment in the main theater. From headliner acts to Broadway-style productions, you don’t want to miss out on these shows.

Of course, there is live music throughout the ship in the evenings as well as plenty of bars serving up your favorite cocktails. While the music is free, the drinks will cost extra.

Regardless of your interests, there is plenty to do, see, and eat while on your Princess Cruises’ vacation without paying anything extra.

However, there are also several upgraded experiences and add-ons that are not included in the cruise fare.

—–WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED ON PRINCESS CRUISES—–
Cruise gratuities are services charges that are not included in the standard cruise fare, similar to a hotel resort fee. These additional fees are a per person, per day dollar amount that are charged to all guests across all stateroom categories.

Princess Cruises will transport you to several exciting ports of call. Unfortunately, shore excursions are not part of the cruise fare either.

Further, you will need to purchase an internet package if you want to stay in touch with family and friends, as WiFi is not part of the cruise fare.

While there are many dining venues covered in the cruise fare, Princess Cruises also offers up-charge dining venues. From the signature steakhouse Crown Grill to the Italian trattoria Sabatini’s and the French Bistro Sur La Mer, there are a variety of upscale dining options on Princess ships that will cost you extra money.

As you might expect, alcoholic beverages are not included in the standard Princess cruise fare either. Beverages like specialty coffees, soft drinks, bottled water, and energy drinks are all an additional fee too. If you plan to consume any of these beverages on a regular basis, you should consider purchasing a drink package.

Or, you could upgrade to the Princess Plus or Princess Premier pricing options when booking your cruise. These packages make your cruise more all-inclusive by adding in extra items like a drink package, WiFi, crew gratuities, and more.

  1. Loved the helpful information! Although, the unnatural and unnecessary pauses in the middle of every other spoken sentence made it awkward to sit through the entire 15 minutes.

  2. We are taking a three week voyage on the diamond princess San Diego round-trip this November to Mexico and Central America but we cannot find any update videos of the cruise ship since the shut down and restart of that ship during the first Covid outbreak 2 1/2 years ago… do you have any new update or videos you can post for this? Thank you in advance

  3. Each cruise is unique to its own. Princess does not offer too many speciality restaurants. Usually 2 or 3 at the most.

  4. You didn’t mention…the international cafe open 24hrs with snacks etc is free BUT the coffee is NOT you have to pay if you want a regular coffee or espresso ..cappuccino ANY coffee there you have to pay
Free coffee is only at buffet and main dining rooms

  5. You sound like you are reading from a Princess sales pamphlet. If only it was as good as you make it sound. On our first Princess cruise, the pizza was great; unfortunately it has gone downhill over the years and crew confirmed that the recipe had changed. Movies under the stars–the sound didn't work. After 30 minutes, we gave up. I've since seen the film on a streaming service. The entertainment is not the best of the 5+ cruise lines we've sailed. Yes, Princess is a decent line, and I'd sail them again in situations where they go to places that other lines may not or where they excel. But they are definitely not the top of the lines we've cruised. Check what you get with one of their "all inclusive" packages before you purchase one. Most include an alcohol package–if you have a glass or two of wine at dinner, you'll never get the value out of an alcohol package! You'll need to drink 6-8 alcoholic beverages per day to make the package worthwhile. Also check whether the quoted price includes the tip on the drinks or whether there will be another 18% added to the quoted price.

  6. EXCELLENT VIDEO SOME GREAT INFORMATION 😁
Questions ❓ Does Princess Cruise line have a theme/costume night❓ I've been on a carnival ship once before and that was a lot of fun
    Thanks

  7. Are drink tips included in the the first package mentioned in the video that includes drinks, gratuities and wifi

  8. This was a very thorough review/explanation of what is/isn't included. I'm glad you mentioned the Princess Plus/Premier options near the end of the video. These seem like really good deals depending on how much alcohol/soda/juices/cocktails/mocktails/bottled water/specialty & brewed coffees one drinks along with devices used to connect to the internet. We always eat about two times at the specialty restaurants during a week long cruise, enjoy wine, cocktails, bottled water and sodas so the Premier might make sense for us. Really looking forward to our next cruise. Thank you for the video!

  9. Thanks for all the information!
Can passengers bring their own wine to drink at dinner? This is allowed on Royal Caribbean.

  10. On Australian cruises, the gratuity is included in our fare( usually more expensive because of this) don’t get duped into paying these again. We usually pay our favourite crew members on top of this.

  11. I went on an Alaska trip on the Royal Princess two weeks ago. Totally disappointing. The ship is old and worn out. One engine was out. We were late for every port and two of my excursions were canceled.
I got one device included with the Plus package, and I used my $50.00 credit toward the $60 dollar second device charge, which was for my laptop.
The videos on YouTube that I like to watch were buffered the whole time making them unwatchable.
The new medallion app sucks. Not user-friendly and the internet is very sketchy out to sea which affects the app. It barely worked.
Room service which I ordered with a door hangar menu was late, over an hour and I ordered it the day before.
The steward smoked a cigarette on the last afternoon in my room.
    You can't make this up.
    It was so bad.
I will NEVER cruise with this line again. Then I found out this vessel is getting taken out of the fleet in October 2022.

  12. We recently went on all – inclusive Enchanted Princess from Soton – Med and got charged an extra $77.14. No idea what for !

  13. As children are allowed onboard, do they have a ‘nanny’ system if you want to watch a show in the evening

  14. Not sure what the speaker is trying to tell us. ALL cruises have night clubs, entertainment, bars. ALL cruises transport you to new locations. ALL cruises offer wifi. ALL cruises have specialty restaurants and offer wines. ALL cruises have coffee, water, ice cream, smoothies, sodas, etc. ALL cruises have spas.

The difference (and why I no longer go on Princess) is that they charges extra for these. There are silly clubs for wine, coffee, water, sodas and ice cream. You must purchase wifi and pay for excursions and "good food" at specialty restaurants. Many lines, particularly high-end, include all this (and tips) in a single price.

  15. We've booked the Premiere package for our cruise next year but when I'm on the app booking our inclusive speciality restaurant meals, it doesn't seem to recognise that we have 2 meals for free. Has anyone else had this issue?

  16. Thanks for the vid and Information. We are on an Alaskan Cruise on the Grand Princess Sept 9-20 2023. Sea and Land package. 4 if us in a Mini Suite, 1 Princess Plus (better) Package. We don’t drink alcohol so adult children get some liquid cheer and the wife and I can get some specialty coffee. Wi-Fi for the wife and Gratuity for passenger 1-2. Some Salmon fishing in one of the port stop and shipping salmon to my house. Landing on a glacier in Denali. Spas and treatments for the women and not sure what for the son-in law. He’ll probably keep his hands in his pockets do his money doesn’t fly out. LoL

  17. Is there an adult cruise for seniors 50 plus on a smaller PRINCESS ship like 50,000 tons and less also leaving from New York ?

  18. Platinum users use to get some free internet and giftcard store credit. Princess cruise is cutting corners and charges and over price $10 ish for internet a day or more.

  19. We are taking the Royal Princess next year to Alaska. We are excited about, looks nice. We have previously only cruised Norwegian and our last experience wasn’t good so we decided to try Princess for our Alaska itinerary.

  20. Hello! I might come on this cruise in 2023. But can you tell me, would you be seasick?

  21. Princess 110 Days World Cruise ex Sydney 2024 , For Self and Wife Also Balcony Cabin/ Princess Plus Fare/ W/F And Gratuities. Will.Food And Drinks Ordered To Our Cabin Incur Service Charge ?First Time Cruise B And K

  22. i am looking for cruise vacation within canada, how can i plan it? is there any option ?

  23. Most videos I have seen from different cruise lines, as well as several bloggers, have yet to show close views of the pools. My concern, and question, may not be one that too many people care about, but as a senior adult who loves to cruise but has had several falls and broken bones, I found myself on a ship whose swimming pool had no steps to get into it only ladders – my friend convinced me to swim, which this might be a funny story one day but it wasn’t then, I ended up being stuck in the pool! A passerby was very helpful in putting their arms around and under my shoulders to lift me. Mortifying. My question is, is there a way to find out what Princess ships actually have steps going into their pools. I really want to cruise again as I haven’t since before the Covid pandemic, but I also want to be able to swim and get back out of the pool.

  24. Preparing for our first Princess cruise. My question is has anyone had difficulty with adding information on the Medallion app? When onboard do you have to purchase a wifi package to use the Medallion app or is it free? We've heard many stories that it does not work. What advice can you give if it really is a issues.
