  2. Hey Alex,
Greetings from California. I will visit in November for the third time and still find your tips very helpful. You did an excellent job. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

  3. For first time tourists (or occasional tourists) arriving in Tokyo, avoid the major train stations like Tokyo and Ikebukuro Stations as even locals can get confused. You can always ride shinkansens to Shinagawa, Ueno or Shin Yokohama stations; Buying JR Pass is the best way to get around Japan and much cheaper to buy outside Japan. You will get a voucher and exchange for the pass to any JR ticketing offices or Midori no Madoguchi (I suggest Narita or Haneda airports or Shinagawa Station if you want to ride shinkansen right away). Once you have the pass, you can only go through manned gate only. Google maps are sometimes not reliable at all on the fly. Plan ahead in your hotel rooms. IC cards are the best way to carry around and can be used for trains, convenience stores, vending machines, some stores, taxis, buses and restaurants. I do not recommend buying Welcome Suica card (red card) as they are only good for 30 days.

  4. 3:08 so because the exit you’re looking for is the N. West Passage, and it’s listed under the main exit- you’d go right (in this case)?

  5. I've been avidly watching the full spectrum of Japanese based travel YouTubers for at least five years now, and I've added your channel to the mix. I was thinking that there wasn't anything new to add to a video of this type because it's been done some many times before, but I was pleasantly surprised. There was enough original content and practical advice to be useful and the video was a good length. Well done! Good luck with future videos.
