After enjoying an incredible Indian thali earlier in the day, I linked back up with Omar Gooding at his own restaurant to have some amazing tacos. Come with me as I eat Kraken Tacos with Omar Gooding in Monterrey Park, California!

Omar Gooding has been entertainment since he was a kid, hosting Nickelodeon’s “Wild & Crazy Kids,” in the early ‘90s and starring on “Smart Guy” later that decade. His breakout role as Sweetpea in the movie “Baby Boy” came in 2001. In addition to acting he’s also a rapper, and you can find his album “The Excuse” on all digital platforms!

Kraken Tacos are said to be the best tacos in LA. They say they hook you like a fish after just one bite! I couldn’t wait to try them!

Once my cameraman Nick and I arrived, we met Chef Anthony and went inside. Inside, the building felt like a Miami nightclub! Then, they brought out the tacos. They looked amazing!

We got seven tacos in total, some fries, and some chicken wings with some sort of custom cheese on top! I wanted mine to be spicy, so they brought me some picante and guacamole habanero sauces!

We had steak, chicken, shrimp, and more! I started with the beef with the habanero, which was super hot. I loved the shell of the taco, and it was super tasty. The cheese, tomatoes, and onions really made it.

The tacos are so fire! The shells are so unique. They’re made of corn but have a secret dusting on them that really takes them to the next level.

Next were the wings. They were deliciously seasoned and battered without being overbearing. The fries were also good and had some seasoned salt on them.
