The Grand Daytime Express (operated by JR Bus Kanto) is a rare, huge double-decker express bus route connecting Tokyo Station to Kyoto Station, Osaka, etc. This was the first time I took this route.

This route (Tokyo-Kyoto) takes about 8 hours by highway bus.

The front rows on the second floor (only three seats), surrounded by large glass windows, are very popular as seats with a view, and the ride was truly first class on a highway bus. The price is also more expensive than a regular bus.

Even so, the front rows often fill up weeks in advance due to the great view, so early reservations are recommended 🚌.
