We viewed the D23 2022 Parks Panel from the live lounge and it gave us a great opportunity to film our reactions to the breaking news live while it was happening. We kept waiting for something big, and occasionally we heard something cool, but overall it was kind of a letdown. Watch as we react while it happens, then stay tuned for an in depth analysis of all the news from the D23 weekend.

this panel was a joke…
Worst panel ever
I've found out more from this channel alone than I did here! What a letdown! I think we've gotten to the point where we've over hyped d23. It used to be a cool fan thing and now Disney is in on the joke. They've always controlled the narrative, but they've force-choked the life out of the event. Why go to just stand in line for merch that's overpriced and not even learn anything new?
Sanfransokyo reskin would be cool, but like, they know they've got gaping holes in their parks just twenty feet the other direction? What about backlot? Tomorrowland? Anything? No?
I am really excited for Porto's though 😂😭 maybe I won't have to drive across the street for my Cubano. Sad that's my highlight
What a disappointment. Nothing but more merch, new restaurants to make Disney money and an unwanted re-theme on Splash Mountain. Where is Tomorrowland updates? Give Disneyland a Tron coaster. Peoplemover? Ugh. Just awful.
Man this was disappointing….who the heck is clapping and cheering this stuff?
Shopping and meet and greets, what a bright future 😑
I’m so sorry that my kids won’t get to experience and enjoy Disneyland the way I got to…not only because they are actively destroying the magic but they’re simultaneously pricing normal people out.
Thank you Fresh Baked for providing this coverage.
It was interesting to see this new regime's approach to this expo. I do think that the previous regime's willingness to share a lot of the long term concepts may have lead to ppl's own expectations going unchecked especially when they hear news concerning the same ride for more than one expo. Really think that the lack of Dland related news maybe due to the back lash that previous expos may receive when suggesting that a much beloved ride may be closed to may way for another.
Although I personally enjoy a lot of the original story telling of attractions, it is understandable that CHEAPeck would bet heavily on IPs that have made Walt Disney Co. money in the past.
Looking forward to your thoughts now that you have had some time to digest this news.
So lame. A bunch of "what if" ideas, and new shopping and ways for them to collect more money without giving anything back.
I still can’t get behind Splash getting rethemed, and Tron not opening for another 9 months is just ridiculous. Disney World basically got nothing from this presentation
This was a book report by a kid who didn't do their homework & was hoping to wing it on a few pictures & charm
Spring 2023 in Disney speak is June 20th, 2023.
So much fluff for Disneyland. The only "surprise" was Pacific Warf which I guess might be cool but there won't be rides. It's just their "slap an IP on it" way to increase spending in that area of the park. Everything else we knew would be coming eventually pretty much. Their 70th is in 3 years and nada announced for that. Fine, as someone pointed out for me, maybe the 75th will have some big stuff because that sounds like a better milestone than 70. But if they don't announce THAT stuff by the 70th, then people will wonder whats going on when the 70th comes and goes with nothing but a new show. They made such a big deal for WDW's 50th that if they don't announce something huge at 2024 D23 for DL's 75th anniversary, it isn't happenening in our lifetimes. They string DL fans along because they know they'll keep coming back and WDW gets more because they want to draw the international guests. And the overseas parks that have non-Disney funding get the best of the best.
The Figment meet and greet announcement felt like a troll. "We know you want the ride fixed but we ain't doing that so here's a character meet and greet! Screw you Figment fans. We know you'll take what you can get."
Were the people cheering paid actors?
It's amazing that Disney can host an event, charge for entry, sell merchandise only to tell you how much money they don't plan on spending.
I dont get connecting to IPs that haven't even stood the test of time yet
disneyworld wins!
Josh is the kinda guys that learned his sales tactics at a used car lot, selling cars with hidden issues
This was the definition of underwhelming. Reminds me of when the slacker dude who didn't do his homework tries to wing his in-class presentation for finals.
Sounds to me like Splash Mountain will be turned into rooms of video screens with misty transitions. If that's the case, it sounds pretty lame.
Thinking new avengers ride will use Cosmic rewind ride system.
Totally agree with what you said about Tiana's!!! Why do we have to help them all the time!!! Its the story of every new attractions, and its kind of dumb if you ask me.
Why didn't they just say, "Look, we just spent a load of money on Galaxy Edge and Avenger's Campus so we ain't going to do anything for awhile – go home."
The whole blue sky section was simply a sounding board to test people's reactions to different ideas.
So the list is: Mando meet, Hulk meet, the 3rd Avengers ride is still coming someday, Sanfransokyo re-skin, some DD retailers, Donald's Boat splash pad, some light details on Tiana's, Figment meet, hat box ghost at MK, Zootopia details, Magic Happens is coming back, new WOC and fireworks show. Not too much there.
So Disneyland and DCA are getting a Mando and Hulk meet and greet, the 3rd Avengers Campus ride isn't cancelled, Pacific Warf is getting a reskin, and new WOC and fireworks shows. Also some very light additional details on Toon Town and Splash Mountain.
What would you rather have? A San Fransokyo reskin of Pacific Warf or the Peoplemover? Thumbs up for Peoplemover and thumbs down for San Fransokyo.
Ahhh I can hear David's mantra in the back ground. "Tomorrowand, Tomorrowland, Tomoarrowland" LOL
Don’t lament the lack of “blue sky” for Disneyland. It’s just a bunch of empty promises that we’ll never see come to fruition at WDW.
The Parks Panel seemed similar to the Star Wars and Marvel Panels; not much of anything new announced. Personally, I was hoping for info on a rumored Adventureland addition that jetted around the side right side of, maybe through, the Treehouse. Also, thought we’d get a reveal of a new Frozen/Tangled themed area in one of the parks (I’d like to see it in Disneyland, but I’m not sure where it could go, unless they took out a chunk of Tomorrowland. I would’ve thought Disney World would’ve gotten a major attraction or land extension encompassing their most popular princess film ever, by now). Mostly, I was curious what they plan to do with Tomorrowland.
Dave. It was so cool seeing you there with Marc Brickey from Adventures in Design (which is now called Hey Brickey), and the Daily Woo. . That was the highlight of this video for me, seeing three, of my four favorite people on YouTube, together watching a Disney Parks pannel. Thank you David for the update.
All dazzle & flash and no substance just like the "wizard" behind the curtain in Oz. They must think we are all stupid chumps. Sooo very disappointing.
Nearly choked on my salad when I found out hulk is going to do meet and greet
We will keep old tomorrow land for more years 😮💨😮💨 lame!!!
Look up ‘Battle of Ultron’ ride and you will see what we are getting. This ride is in Dubai and I bet the King Thanos ride will be an improvement but still similar to the Transformer/Spidey ride.
This was a MAJOR disappointment… Anyone else concerned about the future of Disneyland??
Shhhh! I can't hear Josh because you keep talking.
Everyone is acting like d23 is the end all be all for Disneyland announcements. It’s not. More will come out as they develop things further. It’s obvious the WDW announcements have been in the works for awhile. Disneyland already has a lot of projects going so I bet we’ll hear more things closer to Toon Town opening as that is a really big project as well as downtown and the hotel. There’s also been a lot of crowd control projects. Also note they never said when those projects were even going to start in WDW plus they usually duplicate some things so it’s possible Disneyland could get some of those attractions like updating rancho del zocalo to coco, the treehouse to encanto and something in that area where the boats used to be as well as Fantasyland theater. Disneyland doesn’t have the space for huge additions. I think they’re blue skying Tomorrowland, butjust nothing worth sharing yet. autopia doesn’t fit California’s green initiatives, so I’m sure rides like autopia will be banned soon due to pollution. Furthermore don’t forget the concept art for the entrance to Tomorrowland. It wa exactly like pictures I’ve seen from the sixties. Right now the blue and yellow flowers are not possible, but I really feel that Tomorrowland is going to go retro. Retro futurism is here to stay as kids from the 80’s/90’s get more adult they’re becoming more nostalgic. That’s just my whole take on this and people need to stop being Debbie downers. In two years Disneyland got two new lands and basically when toon town opens it will be a new land. Florida hasn’t gotten anything since avatar, plus Star Wars, but that was already in California so it wasn’t really new. Anyways let’s be more positive and enjoy what we’ve gotten already.
So, Orlando opens Tron, gets entirely new lands, attractions and more. Anaheim gets the return of a preexisting parade, a redesign of existing shows, a rethemed Splash Mountain, new walk around characters and, in Avengers Campus, yet another simulator with a screen. 🥱
Poor Disneyland. Once the crown jewel, it's own demographic has caused it to become the Cinderella of the parks division. Will it's 'Happily Ever After' ever come?
I guess on the bright side, stocks will drop to my threshold to purchase.
A total dud, Disney doesn't care about their fans anymore.
Borefest 2022
They should hype up how the prices keep going up with a touch of Nickle and dime with a splash of how crowded the parks are.
