Don’t be fooled – these may look like works of art, but these highly detailed sculptures are made of sugar and are completely edible! Yum. 🍬🍭 Let us introduce you to the sugar-sculpting artistry of ‘amezaiku’ an art-form that’s been around in Japan for hundreds of years. An artist has between 3-5 minutes to sculpt each piece of molten-sugar syrup (made from glutinous rice) before the sugar hardens. 🍬🍭 One of the last remaining amezaiku shops in Tokyo, ‘Ameshin’ in Asakusa offers visitors classes to teach the basic craft of this sugar art-form. It costs ¥ 3,000 per person (approx $38 AUD) and you’ll be able to see the master artisans at work. Video by @culturacolectivaplus #VisitJapanAU #Art
