Quick announcement, I hope Im not jumping the gun but its the first time this sort of wording is being used and its pointing towards Japan reopening to tourism! and visa waiver being reinstated inline with the many rumors.

Looking like we'll be able go on October 21st finally! Hopefully won't have to cancel our flight! Looks promising
It doesn't mean anything until I hear the words UK or the G7, so for now it is fingers crossed.
Why does the article start out with On October 15? What is the significance of October 15? Or should that have been September 15?
Hi my. Watching from Manchester in the early hours.. best wishes. Joan Nagase
it's great there will be an announcement we heard that it will be today also… Makes you wonder though DID the Japan Government know they were going down this path before the 8th and if so (as you would assume they would know weeks ago) why did they go down the path of the ERFS certificates as there is a lot of really angry people out there who have spent a fortune on certificates and visa's for them to be worthless…. We hear (unconfirmed) it will open the day after the public holiday the 11th
Hope you could find out if multiple entry visa that still valid will also be allowed on October… your videos are very informative thanks
It’ll be great when they finally release some concrete details. I have a feeling there will be a few catches here and there, since it will “almost” be like pre-covid travel. My guess is the MySOS app and requiring proof of health insurance will stick around a bit longer.
I strongly believe that “other counties” mean the 85 countries out of 196 that had visa free entry prior to COVID
The vagueness in ‘more like the other G7 countries’…
Is the tell because we have heard this before.
Is Japan finally reopening next month?
The answer :Yes/No.
The details will include the ‘No’ which is presumed in the vagueness.
The ‘No’ will be a final provision required to enter.
We should all be used to this by now, unfortunately.
I hope they reopen the borders by October 11th because my flight to Japan is on the 12th and it would be a hassle to have to reschedule all of the arrangements that I had made. It's hilarious because last week I was planning on getting an ERFS from JGA but decided to wait an extra day, only to find out they suspended the ERFS program because of this news. I don't know whether to feel like a genius or a fool. Anyway, let's hope they announce the date soon so I know what I have to do next.
Can’t wait for the official announcement. Missed your live feed. Sorry Nathen
I finally decided to pull the trigger after waiting years even before covid to buy a ticket for May 2023! between what I've been hearing on YouTube and the yen hitting a historic low, I'm really hoping that they'll fully reopened the country to tourism sooner rather than later!
Will be back, next week. Cant wait.
I hope this is true. I take 2-3 overseas trips per year and have decided I will no longer visit a country that has anything more than proof of vaccinations. I think that is reasonable. There are other places that will gladly take my money. I’ve wanted to go to Japan for years but I do not want to be treated like a child or a criminal. I respect their right to make their decisions but it’s a big world out there. Thank you for your content.
This is like the 10th time this has happened in the last 30 months so I’m not holding my breath for this October date tbh. Fool me 10 times japan, shame on me,
Thanks for the hard work. I'm heading to Japan on November 4th. I really didn't want to deal with the Visa process. Haven't been to Japan since 2019. I've been counting the days for the past three years.
Do you think that Spain will be one of those country's that won't need a visa requirement on October?? I'm worry about it…
I'm going for my long awaited Japan trip on October 5th, couldn't wait any longer, had to purchase the ERFS, and got my visa a few days ago. Can't wait to go!!
I'm pretty sure the 3 shots vaccination record or 72 hour PCR test, along with travel insurance will still be required even if Japan fully opens, they do not want to be responsible if tourists gets Covid.
I’m aiming this winter, right after Xmas and for New Years. Looks encouraging enough, but I’m still weary that COVID might make the Japanese government backtrack. Wait and see a little bit more – the COVID situation has gotten better over time, but need to see how Japan plans to live with the virus, and in relation to tourists.
Otherwise, my second option will be next June.
Hi NinjaMonkey, I got my business visa and my visa allows me to stay for 30 days. I paid for a course for three weeks. I’m staying 30 days but now I want to stay longer. Do you think I could just delay my flight back?
Nathan. Vyour livestream are always greatly appreciated!! Joan Nagase
24:13 when people say “bought my yen” does that mean they have physical yen in the states? Where does one get the yen?
There will probably be some sort of eVisa scheme like in South Korea with their K-eta. But glad to hear the good news.
My daughter leaves on Tuesday for her year long JLP! It has taken her 3 years to finally be able to go! I'm so proud of her for not giving up!! I can't wait to visit!
Nathan. This livestream us incredibly useful and most welcome!! Thank you Nathan. Joan Nagase
